I care about it very much. Iran has outflanked US-Israel.

Despite billions in military support to the Saudis, their troops are obviously extremely poor and have just surrendered in huge numbers to the Houthis and now reports that the East-West oil pipeline in Saudi has been hit in several places. Houthis are saying red sea channel is now closed to Saudi tankers unless demands are met.

Looks like we will have to toady up to Trump for some Venezuelan oil in the near future because the MidEast is up in flames.

Well you've fallen down on your military understanding again. They are not Saudi troops but pro-Saudi militia who have been persuaded to lay down arms to fight for Allah and not for USA interests. The outcome though is Red Sea failure.

Saudi are pathetic for not being able to beat the Houthis with all of the military force and cash they have at their disposal.

Contained! Funding and probably directing widespread terrorism while developing nuclear weapons and killing many of their own citizens. Hate to see what they would have been up to if they were not 'contained'.

Dont try and argue semantics: Saudi troops/fighters/forces, with western weapons are now on Twitter whining that they've been sold out by 'brother nations'. My point stands.

Pakistan apparently may consider getting involved. How many steps before this is WW3? I would expect China to start buying oil en masse now. This is Suez for mad Trump.

Saudis rather like the Chinese. Vast and well stocked militaries, but no operational experience.

In contrast, the Houthis have had nothing but experience for some years and (like the British in Ukraine) are being stocked and trained by the Iranians who...

Are fighting a proxy schism war in Yemen, and are learning a lot from it. The US/Israel need to be aware of this if they propose to go boots in against Iran as another Vietnam may await them.

'Saudi-backed'? Indeed, Militia and Yemenis with a command and officer structure of western trained Saudi Army Officers, throwing in the towel because they can't cooperate and with even the UAE dropping out because of infighting.

Houthis were once seen as a tribal rabble but like the Taliban, you can't write them off.
