Israel v Hamas

Are you still angry with the Normans?

That wasn't any different. William was a viking descendant fighting a viking descendant though Saxon king, who had just fought another viking contestant at Stamford Bridge.

Penge is bang on, lefties don't know history

Not really. You go back a millennium so why not I?

All problems have an historical root (Northern Ireland etc) but hardly helpful now.

Thus, Islam and Judaism coexisted way better than Judaism and Christianity up till 1948. Is that relevant?

These posts are great because it proves your dislike of the nation of Israel and not the charade of "I just hate the present Israel government".

The Norman invasion doesn't define modern English identity or politics. Whereas the Arab conquests still define borders, languages and faiths across the Middle East today.

Under Muslim rule, Jews were allowed to live but they had to pay special taxes, couldn't hold positions of power and faced general restrictions in their lives.

The point was how selective people can be when they use the term "occupation".

Yup. 40 boats, 500 people. That's about 12 or 13 a boat. These range from 30-55ft monohulls, so they are going to be FULL. A 35 footer usually has max 6 berths, the 55ft about 12, so f*** knows where they are sleeping, all over the cockpit and deck by the looks of it. Ask any yachty and they'll tell you just how much space is a premium on a sailboat, so "supplies for gaza" my arse, they will have just about enough for themselves to cover the several hundred miles at sea they've sailed from Spain.

Selfie taking self centred c****
You forgot they need space for the journalists and independent film makers on board. We couldn't have Greta's pearls of wisdom not being recorded for prosperity. 😀

You have made an allegation against me that is not only obviously untrue but you must know with complete certainty is untrue.

The question therefore lies. Why would you make it?

That's my opinion from all your posts on the subject.

Anyhow, this is more deflection.

A BBC statement. "Hamas has held a tight grip over the Gaza Strip since it forcibly took sole power there in 2007"

This doesn't make the statement true, but gives some credibility as it has been some time since Hamas took over, and probably easier to prop up with facts.

So the Palestinians haven't voted for terror. But they have lived under it in the form of Hamas, and now from indiscriminate massacring by the Israeli Government (and their proxy food distribution centres), through munitions, stopping of food, water and medicinal aid and destruction of their towns and cities.

The tapestry will be here soon.
It's a bit overrated. Saw it Bayeux and I didn't like the presentation.

Maybe they will do a better job over here.

Well it's from a Norman point of view so maybe a tad biased?
Of course it's biased, but the problem was that in Bayeux that have it in a darkened room and bending back on itself in a U shape. You can't see it all at once, and that makes it somehow less impressive.

I've mentioned before that as a moderator on this your posts should be balanced, not every thing you say is gospel and calling other views as deflection puts the balance out of kilter

I find it interesting that you are unable to construct any meaningful counter arguments to my positions so are trying this line of attack. I also think the poster you refer to can fight his own battles.
