The headline is enough to explain about out doing each other on being pro Palestine enough in Ireland. It's a competition. It's mental here.

 
Ireland has a massive virtue signalling problem. In the Troubles it was actions not words, but now people who have easy lives tell everyone how it is, just like that bellend Cillian Murphy who has made his living from British acting but puts on this nationalistic provo stance as if he's been wronged. What a wanker.

Land theft.

Misc oppressive policies.

An autonomous military force with little or no accountability let loose.

Little international support.

Both have loads of international support - even actively supplying weapons and bombs. All played down to not rock the international relations boat. 1916 was even fully funded and supplied by Germany. Before that Irish rebels tended to be supplied by France. Who even sent a force (the most ineffective ever). The IRA were supllied by numerous international forces. Again, some spoken about - some not. You will have heard of the Gadaffi stuff.
You get snippets of who supplies Palestinian terrorists. It's not all Iran.

I said little not none.

No power was strong enough to move Britain to any degree (until we decided we could no longer govern the South).

Likewise Israel/US.

There was a lot but not particularly spoken about to avoid conflict/ trade problems etc. France was another Empire, Germany was greater Germany and the Austro Hungarians. The UAE supports Hamas but we don't hear about it. Same reasons. The USA largely supported the IRA but couldn't do much openly. They also couldn't be against them due to votes.
 
If that family is dynastic and he is seen as heir apparent, his opinion about a country that helped create his could become important.

I suspect (and hope) that Benni is suitably embarrassed and will bring his son in to line.

On which it doesn't help that his son is a numpty. Argentina have never held any ownership over those islands. Although there are faint but far too historic claims following succession issues in the early 18th century, Argentina's modern claim seems wholly based on proximity. If that argument held any water we would have to hand over the Channel Islands to France, Curacao and Bonnair would cede to Venezuela and so on.

Hopefully dad gives son a good talking to.
