Ismaïla Sarr

It’s not looking good, I’d like to see Palace price him out of this. It’s not in his interests to down tools if they did.
I start to fear our position in Premier football is being steadily undermined if we keep selling our best players when they still have plenty of time on their contracts.
It’s something happening more and more in the top league . Newcastle, A.Villa suffer from it, the difference being they have money to buy expensive ready mades, we have to look for another prospect which might well not work out for ever.
Sad to say but there are a few in the Championship once in our position on this.

The fact that we have been active in bringing in a couple of pacy right sided 2 players, together with Guessand who can also play there may give a clue to the club's thinking.
We're also strongly linked with another wide player from an Italian club.

Previously I had heard we were trying to renegotiate a deal with Sarr ( which he probably warrants with his form), but it sounds as if he's head has been turned and there may not be a way back.
The situation with Mateta, and his welcome back, is not analogous.
Mateta didn't go because he failed his medical.

Who is that, Patrick
