Crystal Palace are being investigated after it has come to light that a Man U supporter paid £700 for a paper ticket from a tout for last Sunday’s game.
It is quite hard to get a paper ticket so we’re Palace duped by a “loyal fan” or did they knowingly give it to a third party like Ticketmaster etc?

Crystal Palace promise action against ticket touts if evidence comes to light after Man Utd fan makes £700 allegation | Goal.com UK
Crystal Palace have promised to take action against ticket touts if they find evidence after a Manchester United fan claimed to have purchased paper tickets for a staggering £700, which is more than 20 times the Premier League-mandated away ticket price of £30. While no formal complaint has yet...www.goal.com

The HF leads our choir beatifully. Provision of tickets - which presumably they pay for - should be matched by an attendance register that is given to the club after completion. I expect that they will take very seriously the obligation of any CPFC ticket holder to ensure that their seat is used. ("Fred" might buy the ticket (securing points), find himself with an unexpected family commitment, and it might be ""jim" who attends. Such information will be useful to the club. This is exactly why I have a gripe with HF being given an allocation of away tickets when they do not meet the loyalty points test.
Not only does it make away ticket sales more open to 'resale for a profit' more likely, it also stops genuine supporters from getting tickets to away games.

Personally, I couldn't care less what a Man United fan pays for a ticket to watch Palace play . If they're stupid enough to pay that price they deserve what they get . A fool and their money are quickly parted .Crystal Palace are being investigated after it has come to light that a Man U supporter paid £700 for a paper ticket from a tout for last Sunday’s game.

If only such purchases could go through the box office. £700.00 could pay for him /her being handcuffed to a police officer each side - ideal for naughty people.Personally, I couldn't care less what a Man United fan pays for a ticket to watch Palace play . But isn’t this what Palace fans did in Strasbourg and are doing in Dublin? As I have previously mentioned 4 seats in front of me are regularly sold for hundreds of pounds to Tourists through Not Ticketmaster agencies. I have several times reported this to the club. Nothing done. This is H block in the main stand.
However for Man Utd game it got worse as 2 of the 4 seats were occupied by Man Utd fans. They were respectful, but all the same!
Palace do something about this!

Well I doubt Palace fans paid over the odds to a ticket agency who officially had no right to be selling them at vastly over inflated prices. I could be wrong of course. But isn’t this what Palace fans did in Strasbourg and are doing in Dublin?
