Ireland gone to the Dogs ? - Every National Statistic going down the Swanny ?

the news-story amounts to a triple stabbing and a violent sexual assault of two girls barely old enough to vote - by an unemployed Somalian, new to the parish.

RTE have given the story less prominence, on their website, than their story about 'Credit Unions deciding to enter the Mortgage market'. The violent hospitalising of 3 random pedestrians is now on a par with a news-story about a Lost Parrott found at the airport.

Here you go. Keep car doors locked in Ireland and watch yourself on an expensive bike.
The bike thing has been going on for years to be fair.

even the Irish National Football team has gone to the dogs. Mostly composed of the dregs of the English Championship and League Two.

They can play a friendly against Italy while everybody else goes to the World Cup.

Irish military-neutrality is very popular with the public. And our WEF puppet government are trying their damnedest to throw it in the dustbin.

It's all well and good being neutral. However, a capable defence of being neutral is required. No one cares about neutrality when a strategic advantage can be had. I'm hoping we're not too late. Because this world feels like anything could happen.
Ireland is in between any of the strategic blocs anyone wants to define.

for the US, the UK, and Ireland you have traditionally had something called 'ministry of defence'...a laughable term considering nobody ever invades those countries. And yet all the faraway Wars, chewing up young men like smarties. Returning home in body-bags.

Meanwhile, if an army of young men arrives in seeking charity ? say, on rubber dinghies ? no guns visible, but defo some lads with military training & experience ? no comment.

My own view is that a military has to have a purpose.

Because of their geographic placement Britain nor Ireland are in danger of invasion from a hostile state.

So what's the purpose of a military?

It's to have an influence on the world stage.

In line with Britain chosen path of rapid decline we have chosen not to do that and our influence has declined in kind.

Our place on the security council will come under threat literally because it's a product of military budget and capacity.

Ireland's main export in terms of influence is cultural and along with Britain can be said to be soft power.

In terms of military, Irish males who want a military career traditionally joined the British Army to see the world and learn trades. While I wouldn't recommend anyone doing that in today's woke environment.....I would imagine that would be the most sensible action for that kind of person.

Fair enough, but you do need enough to defend yourself - as a deterrent. Ireland really can't do that and doesn't have that. The government have also continuously mouthed off over world affairs and encouraged the people to throw themselves in line with Palestine and now Iran. Fair enough many will think - but again at least be able to defend yourself if you annoy the wrong people.

I just can't think of a military threat against Ireland that justifies the budget. Ireland is like Canada, its neighbour would be taking the hits if anything......and to be honest neither would actually be invaded but instead bombed.....Ireland has no significant military threat worth bombing. If I were them I'd leave it like that and let the British worry about it.....the trade off was Irish regiments in the British Army.

But now I think Ireland's military minded males need to be thinking about saving Ireland from its internal threat.....we both know what I mean.
