Although i would agree with your sentiments, its not really a very new story. Probably at least a thousand years old. And as for the UK ? now that is far more worrying. Cos it is in our jurisdiction, and could be happening 100 yards from where you live.

how do you reconcile 'cultural relativism' with the morality of breaking the Law ?

It would be interesting to hear a view on cultural relativism from anyone who has, or has had, a 9 year old daughter.
