Why is everything some sort of political battle? What is going on in Iran is f*cking awful and their government is beyond evil.

So have you considered that the tens of thousands of people associated with the old regime will head straight for Calais and then to Dover to seek asylum in the UK and be housed at great expense?
And do you think Trump will pick up the tab?
Nah- who cares, so long as he bombs the crap out of a country thousands of miles away. Just like Libya and Iraq who cares about the basket case that is left.

It does. I spent a few days there in the early 80's and it was a scary place; busses out in the country were routinely stopped by the army and people taken away at gunpoint, etc. Tehran was a very oppressive place, the people were, in private, friendly but frightened and it's doubtless worse now.
 
Appeasement never works , Iran is a country based on a dictatorship and oppression with a major terrorist sponsorship organisation that has spread its tentacles far and wide
Trump is attempting to do something positive for the majority of Iranians who want democracy and peace whilst Europe including the UK are as usual just twiddling their fingers idly ..

No I haven’t watched the video as it all old news that’s been common knowledge for decades ..
I obviously feel the WW2 loans was worth the cost and feel same about any costs to spent to eliminate the danger Iran poses to the UK in the longterm .
 
Trump is after Iranian oil. You think he'd really give a sht otherwise ?
OK, the oil money is currently used to fund terrorists/freedom fighters, so Trump is looking for momentum to carry out military action. Having Israel and the Saudi's onboard is a major plus. We all know it's going to happen. Trump is only waiting for the time of his choosing, to facilitate regime change and get those oil American oil contractors in.

The Marshall Plan was a $13 billion plan to aid the recovery of Western Europe after World War II. The aid did not only go to Germany but also to several other countries in Europe.

East Germany did not benefit from the Marshall Plan its the history of what happened, Stalin didn't want it, so Soviet states including East Germany and Angela Merkel were excluded.

And we got most, then France, then West Germany.
 
I don't think troops will be involved in Iranian action. They will be back home , guarding civilians against the inevitable increased terrorism threat. Except the UK. We don't have any troops. 🙂
