Iranian exiles are making a lot of noise about the west getting involved but they do not speak for the Iranian people. We have been through all this with Iraq where the governments listened to the exiles who had their own agendas.*

Stay out of it condemn the Iranian government for brutality and hope the rebels win and install a more moderate form of government. At that point offer the hand of friendship.

*They lied about weapons of mass destruction or simply didn't know and made it up.

The world has known Iran is an fundamentalist Islamic regime since the fall of the Shah, and they execute hundreds each year. Is the fact the army is shooting their fellow Muslim protesters a surprise? Not to me.
However, what has this got to do with the USA? Why are they getting involved? What about all the other places in the world where s*** is happening? Trump said this type of stuff wasn't what he wanted to get involved with.

Why might they get involved? Maybe because they regard the USA as ‘the great satan’ and want to destroy Israel, kill all Jews, develop nuclear weapons and establish a worldwide caliphate.

They sponsor terror groups
 
America dealing with Iran was always inevitable. They have slowed down their nuclear program but that was a temporary measure. They have long memories about the hostage crisis of '79 and more importantly, Iran cannot be allowed to destabilise the region if they eventually manage to get nukes.
On top of that, they are a global menace by sponsoring and directing terrorism.

It's coming, so we better get used to it.

I think this will finish from within. The army will realise they are the target and self protection will come by destroying the revolutionary guard.

That would solve a problem, but what comes next?

America will not send troops in, but I can see Trump wanting some influence over the next government.
I doubt he will resist some display of American power.

The common link is Islam.
40 years ago Iran was westernised and a holiday destination. Islam took over and it’s the s*** show it is now.
Who knows if it did spin itself back around other countries who have gone Islamic may realise it isn’t that fantastic.

With the regime underpinning terror against the Jew, Trump and Farage against it then I have no doubts that the lot who hate Israel are struggling. They will be silent as they are with Yemen despite the summary executions of protesters because they also know they can't support the regime. They will likely just rage against Trump and Israel anyway once the bombs drop.

As predicted, so far silence despite weeks of brutality.
