I agree about Encisco.
He lacks consistency, can go missing from games but these are traits shared by most players of his rare talent.
He has the priceless ability to go past opponents with ease and has quality in his passing and shooting.
I would have liked him at Palace and see him as their main threat today.

Mitchell is probably our best 1 on 1 defender so I'd like him to track Encisco in those advanced inside right positions he takes; forget the goalscoring this week!

Sadly at half time it’s that left hand side I was talking about. Leif Davis has had a great start to the season. Richards looks lost without Lacroix and Munoz

If we can't beat Ipswich then we really are in trouble this season.

We deserved a draw based on our 2nd half performance and hopefully would have won with 11 men.
I agree with you though and we could look back at this result as being pivotal.
Was a bit shocked all 3 pundits on The Rest is Football had Palace down as being relegated this season.

Six down at HT due to some sloppy goalkeeping from Mateta, but on 45 we bring on Henderson to replace him and hope JPM has learned exactly what a contract is. A hungry Khalaili scores six worldies. On 97 minutes Ben Chilwell demonstrates his versatility scoring a penalty with an overhead kick.

Didn’t we lose our first 7 games a couple of years ago. And didn’t go down.
We have a win and we are maybe slightly better than some other teams at the bottom. Conceding and not converting chances go hand in hand. Everton first 20 two posts city first chance of the game missed today at least 3 missed chances. JSL is getting better with his back to goal, double S (sulky sarr) should be back soon and even JPM might lace up to come on. Canvot is getting the grilling and is a good defender. Diasi will be back but canvot now needs to show how good he is. The young lad from Chelsea is smart and timber is a little dynamo. Mitchell and Chilwell are positives. Scratch the surface and it looks better than some think.
It looks grim but I’m sure we will get better at both.

I don’t have a good feeling right now, but if we can somehow get out of Leeds with a point, the international break might just hit at the right time. Easy to forget that Sage had maybe a week or two with the club before the season started, then added a handful of guys at the transfer deadline who were going to be needed right away. Willing to give the benefit of the doubt. For now……

Yes and the only card display on show today was from the ref brandishing a red card. Couldnt even be arsed to wave a blue card to go with it. Shambolic from the ref.
