Ipswich Predictions.

I'm apprehensive about this game, but for irrational reasons.

It's not so much because Ipswich are a fearsome team, but because we've been on a good winning run which has to come to an end at some time.

Could it be that we don't win the game that we're expected to win?
A refereeing decision, an own goal, an injury, a sending off or a combination of those things.

I think any long term Palace fan (or indeed football fan) can see where I'm coming from.

I understand the rationale behind your comments.

Ipswich have recently signed a very capable goalkeeper in Alex Palmer (18 'Clean sheets' last season) and I have visions of him performing heroics and Liam Delap scoring for the visitors.
I have a sense of foreboding about this game.

'twas ever thus.

Ipswich will be looking at this as a must-win game given 5 of their next 7 games are against teams in the top 7. How that pressure will affect them who knows, but they still haven't won in the league this calendar year and even lost to Southampton. If they go a goal behind they might start to crumble. Also, if they sit deep then that might actually suit Nketiah more, who looks more dangerous around the box rather than running at players like JP does, plus he looks like he has his tail up which is really important for a striker. I think we might properly smash them. 5-0 Palace. Nketiah brace, Eze, Guehi and a first goal for Wharton. Delap sent off for violent conduct. Light easterly breeze.
