Ipswich Predictions.

Its possible we might need 20 to 30 minutes to adjust without JPM as Nketiah just cannot play that role. Different type of attacker. I do think though that we have enough to get the job done. Hopefully Eddie will get another goal to boost his confidence yet further,

2-0

Easy win. Give them the ball and lure them into traps as usual then kill them in transition. It helps that all their 10s are out as well so they'll have no quality down the middle if we keep Delap contained

I thought Ipswich started the campaign well and they looked like they might stay up. There was not much in the earlier game apart from a great finish by JP. However, we now have an almost fully fit squad. We will miss JP but Wharton can come in for Hughes which may actually strengthen us. Ipswich on the other hand are looking tired and their initial competitiveness is dwindling. I struggle to see Ipswich scoring and if we can get an early goal we could win by a few. I am going 3-0.

I don't think Ipswich have given up which is credit to their manager. They were unlucky to not get something at Old Trafford.

Still I think we will win with Eddie continuing his goal scoring run.

3-1 Palace.

I can't help but wonder: is it really the Palace way to win the next couple of matches with no hiccups?
Maybe it is but I still need convincing.
Time will tell, but I take your point.

The obvious issues are, primarily we are at home (did Villa cure the hoodoo?); and we are without JP and (PotY?) Hughes.

The last time the latter was suspended, we were beaten 2-0 at home by Fulham.

On balance, Ipswich are not Fulham, they have their own absences and will have been battered by their exit from the Cup. Thus...

A nervy 1-0 and HOL members whining about why we had to make such heavy weather of what should have been an easy game.

I don't. they alway seem to score - but the oppo seems to score more. It all depends on how the game pans out - if we cede the ball to them, we'll win easily. If we have the majority of possession, it'll be more of a struggle. I do think Nketiah fits better into a team trying to break one down - he had some neat little touches which didn't quite come off vs Millwall, but that should improve the longer he spends with this team.

either way, I can see a 2-1 win for us.

Might be one of those games where them taking the lead may not be the worst thing.... but preferably, I'd rather them not score at all :drunk:

I just feel like this game has shades of Luton at home last season 😯

Teams know they just have to sit back against us now at selhurst.

Perhaps having nketiah we might play a little different? He seems to be more suited to being inside the box?

We battered Luton that day, no idea how we didn't win by 2 or 3
