International Call Ups

Thought Devenney acquitted himself pretty well in both games. He definitely looked better defensively than in the previous break and kept Gnabry quiet, Germany were fortunate to win

I watched the second half when NI were already one nil down. It was an exciting game light years better than England (for excitement).

NI played like a Championship side all blood and thunder and really went for the throat. The Germans were hanging on and got a couple of lucky decisions. NI deserved a draw they just didn't have the quality up front.

Devenney is one of there better players but I would not play him at wing back for Palace, unless it was an emergency. Positionally he got caught out a few times. As for the Germans if they play like that in the tournament they will not be a major threat.

The trouble is as you know the Germans won't play a tournament like that they frustratingly just get better and better at every stage,it is a moving through the gears.

Yes the northern Irish co commentator was bugging me what I saw of the first half, apart from his constant inane rambling on, he kept saying the Germans were targeting Devenny as if he was some sort of weak link when he was doing okay considering he was out of position

I'm content enough that Palace players are not starting for England tonight, but would question whether there's any point in Henderson joining the squad anyway.
He never plays, even in the meaningless friendlies.

Anyone agree with me that the NI Windsor Park crowd sounded SO like the Homesdale Fanatics?
Seemed to have an identical array of songs.
Sure I heard the Marinakis derogatory chant ( you fat b******) too!
A great atmosphere and Devenny must have felt so at home!
Selhurst Park is clearly appreciated not just in South London

Hope it's not a knock
From the BBC:

England boss Thomas Tuchel, speaking to ITV: "Good pitch, good lights and we have a task that we want to fulfil. Everything is ready and the pitch looks fast and it is perfect weather to play football."

On the changes and formation: "Marc [Guehi] gets a rest because he is the one who has played the most minutes in our squad and we want to attack with both full-backs.
