Immigration

Hes not wrong. Those words are just meaningless these days.
I would rather be called names than actually believe that we should continue to build houses, endure more crime, put our young women at risk, cripple our services and destroy our culture to allow anyone and everyone who fancies it to settle here for ever more.

You would have to be a true imbecile to think that's reasonable.

Never heard of them but having looked them up they hardly meet the criteria do they?

Firstly, they exist in the USA, not here, as a legitimate business providing actors for publicity events. They are a PR business. They can provide the appearance of a protest for commercial reasons. For instance when filming an advertisement. So not only is the protest fake, what is being protested is too. They can provide celebrities with “admirers” for publicity photos.

Or Grockle.
We could go on and on. Some tourists here are known as Emmets, due to sunburnt skin.

I expect you have been called a Sassenach. The Irish a Mick. Both of us, at times, a prat.

It’s the deliberately hurtful and insulting ones that have no basis in reality which are now in free use by the likes of Trump that are so divisive. Calling anyone who disagrees with you a radical lefty is just plainly stupid. Every bit as stupid as calling anyone who holds traditional conservative values a fascist.

You would have to be a complete imbecile to believe it’s true!

When the title is How to land a paid protesting job I'd say it's fairly relevant.

No one has been called a Sassenach since the days of Ealing comedies and it's not advisable to call Irish men Micks.

Even Farage admitted that some of those “local” protesters were actually “bad eggs”.

Organised opposition to racism and fascist sentiment has existed for a long time. Countering extremism is an honourable activity, provided it’s done legally. I doubt whether anyone gets paid to do it though. It might surprise you but some people actually care about these issues, just in different ways to you. If you have evidence of payment, rather than innuendo, I would be interested to see it.
Interesting that opposing racism and fascist sentiment is honourable; countering communism, Marxism is also honourable. My son was at university a decade ago, even then they were canvassing for protestors and paying them to attend various rallies. If I get some up to date contact details I’ll pass them on to you so you can a bit of extra cash in hand.

i have been called Paddy & Mick thousands of times. It never really bothered me. Provided you will also have a sense of humour for my off-kilter 'lack of PC' sense of humour. And i can call you back a pejorative term ? eh Nigel ? I have also been accused of owning a black-balaclava and a proclivity for bombing things. To me its no more offensive than going into the office on a Monday and asking Miguel if he "killed any Bulls at the weekend?".

However, i do find jokes about the Potato Famine about as welcome as jokes about the Holocaust would be at a Spurs fanclub. Holocaust denial is a real problem.
However, finding the Potato Famine funny ? seems to be a permissible jibe in our Cultural Marxist World. The deliberate attempt to wipe a race off the face off the face of the Planet ? not really comedy material, is it ? Not funny in Auschwitz or County Kerry. Jokes about Gas Chambers and Potatoes belie a deep ignorance on the part of the joker.

Is any one surprised that "volunteers" are now paid. I fear that my generation is one of the last to do this wholesale. Whenever I volunteer for a charity event what strikes me is the lack of diversity mainly white females and male pensioners.

I do wonder what will happen when we are too old or frail? Who will donate blood or rattle a tin in our place. My guess is we will become like the USA. I volunteered for 8 months at a COVID vaccination centre like many. In the US and Canada they were paying people to do the same job.

So I am not surprised at rent a mob, it reflects the "me too" society we have become. I'm not sure what the British legion will do (my next gig) young people don't care. Why do I do it. Because it is my way of honouring those that served so I didn't have to. Duty, service, loyalty are words that are missing from the public forum and if anyone mentions them they are ridiculed by the left.

A 22-year-old man suspected of being involved in moving migrants from Albania to the UK on small boats and lorries has been re-arrested.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) said the man was arrested by armed officers in Clarence Square in Brighton on Thursday on suspicion of money laundering offences and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He was first arrested at an immigration detention centre near Gatwick Airport on 7 August, but was released on bail, the NCA added.

The agency said the man was being questioned by investigators on Friday.

Cocaine separated into dozens of bags, along with about £1,000 in cash, was also found during a search of an address in Dyke Road, according to the NCA.

NCA branch commander Sara-Jayne Moore said: "This individual was re-arrested as part of our ongoing investigation into perilous people smuggling journeys using small boats and HGVs across the Channel.

"Tackling people smuggling is a top priority for the NCA, and this is one of 100 ongoing investigations targeting groups or individuals both directly involved in organising crossings, or those who facilitate that criminality."

I don't know any more details than what has been posted above on the BBC website, but...

If the man was arrested at an immigration detention centre, why is he allowed free movement?
I can't wait for the 'migrants and refugees welcome here' brigade to start protesting when we presumably try to deport.

That's because there are so many Irish with "victim" mentality, and that spills into Liverpool of course, not seeing themselves as English. That famine was in 1741. SEVENTEEN FORTY ONE. It's nearly 300 years ago, and somehow you are offended.

I'd wager that you are baffled when blacks play the slave card too, and that was far far more recent.

Essentially Ireland had a war with their occupiers which they pretty much won, and that was about 100 years ago. The troubles was Irish interference into a soveriegn state that had chosen its path by vote, but f*** democracy that time, let's be violent AND play victim. I'm not getting into that with you, you're a bit of a provo from what I can see. If you were Gazan you'd be refusing a peace deal.

PS yes I've watched The Wind That Shakes The Barley & Black 47 as insisted on as "education pieces" 😀
