Looks as if three Left Wing High Court Judges are about to let the Government do what they want in Epping.
Result incoming but this will cause a lot of trouble when the Government votes against its own citizens
 
What a surprise - the Government wins the first part and so it will go on.
Stuff the UK - we are more interested in the rest of the world.
This is grim and does not bode well for the future.
 
And now it appears to be a complete and total win. What a surprise.
The Government will regret this decision being made for many years to come.

So you know the political views of each of these Judges? Interesting. How have you discovered that?

You also know that senior Judges, or indeed any Judge, will allow such opinions to override their loyalty to the law! Even more interesting, so do explain.

The original decision was so very obviously wrong so the appeal succeeding ought be no surprise to anyone.

This decision has obviated the need for emergency legislation to reverse the implications of that decision so the Government must be relieved. There was no way it could have been allocated to stand.

No doubt there will be a tsunami of ill considered rhetoric from the usual quarters in its wake but that’s the price that must be paid.
 
The earlier ridiculous judgement made to assuage right wing yob culture reversed.

I have experience as a resident in a hotel where the Home Office had a contract and I never had any problem with them.

If they want to continue the same then they will continue to get banged up it's no loss.

Spain would like boats going the other way.

Do you think perhaps this is a necessary decision for the government, rather than the law. Half the councils would shut the hotels. I wonder why? Racism and ignorance perhaps? Who would deal with it then? Labour government - yeah right. They'd sort that wouldn't they? There was clearly a legal case for councils. Now that is overridden. I wonder why the goodwill of people is waning? Any explanation? I guess they're all just fooled by rhetoric and unconvinced of the supposed benefits.

It was certainly a necessary decision which if it had gone the other way would have demanded legislation to reverse it. Fortunately the law made that unnecessary.

The law has decided that the overall national interest to ensure that asylum seekers are not left homeless was not considered by the original Judge and that that interest is superior to any local interests.

This is a legal victory of reason over nimbyism.

Totally untrue. Precisely the reverse is. I want our country to be lawful, to abide by international conventions and be actively in support of a rules based system.

If there are international problems then we must cooperate with others to find ways to overcome them.

Anyone who suggests otherwise, using populist rhetoric to propose unworkable solutions, is treating you as a gullible pawn in their quest for power.

Quite unbelievable. This isn’t like building new residential estates. No allegiance to your country or its people.

Yeah, like I said. No loyalty or allegiance to your country or its people. None. Your loyalty is to people, countries and political leaders from other countries, just like the useless politicians we have. All traitors. Can’t be trusted.
