Ian Wright talks about his Palace move to Arsenal

Well, we don't agree as Jim Cannon won multiple Player of the Year awards (1977–78, 1984–85, 1986–87). He was a Palace man (unlike your Wrighty here) and not everyone is a money wh0re as Matt Le Tissier also demonstrated....Trevor Brooking another one.

I met Matt Le Tissier last year and heard him talk. I kind of sensed he regretted not making a big money move.

The Saturday before we won 3-2 at Oldham with Wright, Bright and Salako scoring. I remember the radio report by Pat Murphy? describing the three of them as unplayable and they would keep Palace at the top. Twenty four hours later and the rumours about Wright leaving started a day later he had joined Arsenal.
Four of them, surely?
How could they forget Phill Barber?

My fondest memory of him was during the Holmesdale construction season when we played Arsenal, he wasn't playing and was sat in the corner of the Arthur with the Arsenal fans.
He was stood on his seat parts of the game being a nob then was celebrating and jumping about goading the palace fans when Arsenal scored.. (0-3)

Called him out on it on twitter many years ago and he did apologies for it.. But I never saw him as a Palace legend since that day, regardless of how he performed for us.
