I don't think justified is the point.

The point is that no one cares if a scumbag like this dies.

Very often, another scumbag does something like this to get respect and to feel better about himself.
He deserves no credit, but nonetheless by his actions rids the world of another worthless piece of s***.

I think you need to seriously reconsider what side of this argument you really want to be on.
 
Death is too good for scum like that. They deserve to suffer a lot, over a very long time. But i do agree with them no longer being a burden on the taxpayer.

Even as an atheist, i hope there really is a Hell. And that this P.o.s. can rot there with Jimmy Savile for all eternity.

I mostly agree but differ a little on this:

There are levels even with murderers and if one of them was willing to take the consequences for carrying this out.....Well, within that cohort he will be held up, we know how this works.

Watkins was wasting taxpayers' money and in a system with real justice wouldn't have been living anyway.
 
Stirling hits a nail there. His unfortunate demise is a significant cash saving for the treasury, so i fail to see any negative outcomes of this. Obviously people might have wanted to ensure a long and protracted death, but that option is very rarely available in such secure facilities.
So another scumbag spends a few more years in jail. Most of these psychopaths are lifers anyway.
I'd be tempted to let the perpetrator out early , for good behaviour. 🙂
