Tony Soprano did express a very similar sentiment. In both cases, maybe it was all just to drum up some controversy ? I recall Hogan spent a number of years as a pantomime villain. Its very difficult to take a fella up to his gills in steroids & yellow underpants seriously.

Conor McGregor would still struggle to get one over on Hulk. But then again, with Hulk gone there is a gap in the market for a fake tough-guy with a big mouth, too much money, a gobby coked up clown, and with a penchant for making a fool of himself.
