Sorry - hit wrong key.Probably in debt.
Comment is:-
We will all probably be in debt after paying to go away into Europe following a Cup Final Win. The consolation is that none of the current team would be sold in the summer.

Bingo 😀👏Above the weeds is the only thing that matters
In all honesty yes it would be good to get to FA Cup final but not at the expense of EPL games as prize money is linked to final league position. As for getting in to Europe, that has to be a pipe dream, the current squad which is likely to see some departures in the summer, simply does not have the depth in quality and numbers to be able to cope with the extra fixtures that brings at the time of writing.
There are many examples of teams reaching the cup final and then getting relegated either in the same season or the following year, Middlesborough, Hull, Wigan and Portsmouth to name a few. The worry for the future is if we were to be relegated it may the take several years to get back, if at all. The revenue from EPL status will be so important for the club going forward with the modernised stadium etc. That my view and I accept it may not be everyone's!Really?? I’d give anything to be in the cup final. Where’s the excitement of concentrating on finishing 10th or 11th?

Even just 2 years ago I'd agree but the chasm between the divisions is so big now, those who come up must go down. If we struggled in season two there would still be enough to stay up as there will certainly be 3 teams below us come May.There are many examples of teams reaching the cup final and then getting relegated either in the same season or the following year, Middlesborough, Hull, Wigan and Portsmouth to name a few. I fully agree that the chasm is greater than ever which is even more concerning if we were to ever lose our EPL status I fear being in a downward spiral and never getting back up for the reason you so eloquently state. That outcome would not be good for the long term future of our club therefore maintaining EPL status must always be the first priority going forward.Even just 2 years ago I'd agree but the chasm between the divisions is so big now, those who come up must go down. That's why I feel for saints and foxes - well a bit. They picked the wrong season to go down.
Of course I see the risk. The team I look at with concern is Stoke. 10 years they were up and as nailed on a mid table team as there ever was. I think it would offer sobering ballast to any schemes of quick advancement, if the CPFC 2010 Limited Boardroom had the Championship table with the Potters current position highlighted as well as that club's most recent filed accounts framed and mounted.I fully agree that the chasm is greater than ever which is even more concerning if we were to ever lose our EPL status I fear being in a downward spiral and never getting back up for the reason you so eloquently state. I'd have to disagree. Our squad is strong right now and granted playing in Europe we would need 2 or 3 additions to help with the extra games but I'd wager that some of these departures this summer that many think are inevitable might well decide to stay and enjoy our European adventure. Especially when being led by a Europa League winner! In all honesty yes it would be good to get to FA Cup final but not at the expense of EPL games as prize money is linked to final league position. I agree our squad is stronger now that it has ever been in the recent past but its not up to the requirement of competing in Europe and especially so as players will leave when offers are made that they can't refuse and as much as it would be good for the club to be in Europe, I do not think we will qualify for Europe this term anyway. My main concerns are that we still have a board where some members want out, if the rumours as to be believed, then some of our key players may leave this summer, Our DOF is being linked to top job in Saudi Arabia and currently Oliver Glasner contract is due to expire this time next year, so he will be very much on other clubs radar!I'd have to disagree. We are strong both as a squad as well as financially. Only 5 or 6 teams can start a season 99.9% confident they'll stay up. We are as best placed to remain a Premiership club as any of the rest. If we're not strong enough to deal with the league and a cup run now we never will be.There are many examples of teams reaching the cup final and then getting relegated either in the same season or the following year, Middlesborough, Hull, Wigan and Portsmouth to name a few.
