Hopefully, after a hiatus they will decide to continue or reform in some guise. Whilst i don't want to get into politics, you cannot argue at the away ticket price cap and about ensuring local youngsters can still afford to get to games.

While the away ticket price is good. New fans and youngsters can find it hard to get a ticket when you need at least 10,000 points for some games.

Maybe they will rebrand as the Main Stand Massive, avoiding legal action and bringing chanting to the previously uncharted territory of the half way line.
Im pretty sure it was because no one actually helped with any of the stuff they were doing. They were just joining for the fun not for the cult graft!

I think the HF have been fantastic, if controversial over the years, I don’t like the politics being dragged into it
The atmosphere at Selhurst has at times been superb, yet as the premier league journey continues I found the atmosphere has decreased with it.
So many say we don’t need the HF for an atmosphere, I completely disagree and all will be revealed this season as negativity more often drowns out the positive minority. At best we will be just like every other club.
The cost of matches , inflation are all contributing to killing the match day experience.
Anyway……come on you eagles

True, i only came on the scene in the early 90's. My memory of the games in the 2000's, just before the HF started, was that the atmosphere really went downhill. The HF has helped create an atmosphere in the here and now that has helped the club.

I get why some don’t like them. It’s a shame they pulled that manoeuvre to get into the centre of the Holmesdale. It was better before as well.

I'll never forget seeing the HF escorted by the old bill as they walked (marched?) down Wembley Way before the 2016 FA Cup Final. They were all in one unit, all in black, and you could just see that the special treatment had gone to their heads. They seemed, in the main, pretty young to me. I remember one lad in particular. I will describe him in the hope that he somehow reads this and identifies himself, as I'd like him to know what I and many others around me thought of him. Asian lad, seemed about late teens, maybe early 20s. Average height and build. He was shouting as loud as he could 'f***ing Manc c****! You c****! Manc c****!' with his little face screwed up into all the vitriol he could muster.
The United fans around were just laughing at him. The police were sighing and rolling their eyes. They were obviously following some silly protocol by escorting the HF. I was embarrassed by the lad, but mostly for him.
The media have lapped them up, and between that and the clubs approach to them, they seem to have become a bit self-important. To me they just seem and sound like a very generic facsimile of modern European 'Ultras'. I don't find anything especially 'Palace' specific about them, their displays, or their songs.
There was definitely a purple patch a couple of year before and after we got promoted where the atmosphere was brilliant, and at times the whole ground seemed to be joining in with some of the songs. If that's attributable to the HF then fair play, but I'll not be too sorry to see them go now, I'm afraid.

Shocking news. Thanks for 21 years of great support, and valiant service, HF. You helped make the atmosphere at Selhurst what it is today, famous up and down the country as one of the best to play in or watch from. You will be missed. I hope you come back some day.

I don’t agree with their politics but the atmosphere will be s*** without them particularly if we’re losing. It’s a real shame.
Football without fans is nothing, well its not true is it, the clubs couldnt care less about local fans anymore, not prem teams anyway.
Football clubs used to be at the heart of the local community, a place where young working class men could come together, bond and escape for a couple of hours. When you're getting 150 mill a year in tv money, who cares, why sell a ticket to a local 16 year old for £20 when you can sell it to a Chinese tourist for £300.
It's not just the clubs, its the whole establishment, they hate the same people who made this sport, Sky care more about how many southern Asians are represented in the game, all tv coverage is more bothered by how many boxes they can tick, the bbc have ruined football focus, I can't remember the last time I watched soccer Saturday.
And they'll all so ignorant to it. Its obviously all down to social media and how people now choose to follow the game and has absolutely nothing to do with the complete woke s*** you have to put up with everytime you just want to watch a game of football.

Come on - of course it was. It was a different era. I remember going to away games with loads of school and then ex school mates all through the 80s and the nineties- drinking, singing, standing until it was banned- that’s a long time ago. I’m 62 and still like a bit of atmosphere. Today loads of games home and away and like being in a library. Unless you are planning a Dads ‘red and blue’ army who is going to make the effort? Most young football fans these days are too busy eating their prawn sandwiches and drinking sugar free coke. And too many older fans are like victor meldrew!!
