Hola to the end of Schengen and collapse of open borders

we all saw the video of the Spanish Socialist PM visiting Ceuta. The scene of a mass incursion.
Its hard to say whether he went there to help out or to giggle & marvel at a train-wreck of his own making ?
He is starting his yearly six week holiday in Lanzarote, staying in the former kings palace, about 5mins walk from where i live, but i will add my apartment isn't like the kings palace 😊

Its unsustainable.
all depends on what 'it' you are referring to.

It....the endless flow of lads from over there. Plenty more where they have come from. Numerically can you even guesstimate it ?

It....the lifestyle of you and me. Affordable housing, a society with a normal gender-balance, the economy, British Culture, traditional butchers, Pubs, Education, NHS, scantily clad Brighton ladies sunbathing on the beach ?.. etc etc..... you decide.

Yes that, and border control

There is a load of bull going both ways. Ceuta is a tiny island with limited access
60,000 people entering illegally or legally would be nigh on impossible and completely flood the town. Not sure what is going on or the press reporting or why. All very odd.

10-20,000 people manage to gatecrash Glastonbury annually with all their hi tech surveillance. 60,000 walking unaided into a Spanish town would be a cakewalk

It's not an island but a peninsular. People were walking into the sea and then swimming around the barriers in the water to get to it.

The Moroccan government either organised this or allowed it to happen to put pressure on th Spanish to give it up.

Press reporting of numbers and situation seems to be consistent left and right so I don't think you can blame them for the hype. It now appears to be under control and most of these people have been expelled (I think).

The BBC however is now spinning the fall out

It's all the fault of the right and social media.

Sorry not buying that, when the BBC it's self was reporting around 50,000 people had entered the territory illegally. We've all seen the footage and the BBC expects people to keep quiet, nothing to see here, just another day at the office blah blah.

Of course people are going to comment on social media and anti immigration groups will highlight it to push their agenda.

The left have stayed remarkably quiet because what can they say?

It's wasn't happening
It's only 50,000
They are all starving doctors and professional footballers
Open borders is a great idea and the UK wont be flooded that is right wing paranoia

etc.

The left, including the BBC, have been exposed for what they are. They have no argument left. They are reduced to blaming everything and everyone else except the real causes. When the truth is there for everyone to see, they aim to cover it up.
