acc to BBC Gossip we're after this 'striker' even though he's a deep lying central midfielder - only 22 and has captained Middlesboro and was given his break by Carrick. Seems like a Wharton back-up, hopefully not a replacement! Never seen him play ... if anybody has it would be good to know if they think he could cut it at prem level.

I read he is supposed to be the long term replacement for Hughes.

I'd be massively in favour of this one.

He looks a real talent. Very comfortable on the ball, and seams to see the game faster than those around him (v simular to Wharton).

He doesn't seam to have quite the range of passing that Wharton has (though he can still find a through ball), but seams to be more physical.

Could see him and Wharton working v well together.

Would certainly be looking to test Borough's resolve.

Rav Van Den Berg is a central defender by trade but played all across the back line at his previous club PEC Zwolle and also had a short spell playing in front of the back four at the club.
