A lot of money for some fairly standard players. Much better value to be found outside of the prem. 30m including add ons is the maximum anyone should be paying for most of those.

Yes it is better value to buy outside Premier league but they are unknowns and if they do come good how long will it take we need people who straight away can have an impact.
Some of those players are not average come on.
The worst deal we did last summer was the only player bought from a Premier league club

And now £42m for Ouattara.
Well they've all performed fairly averagely and not gathered a whole load of Premier League starts. We were fools and paid this Premier League tax for Nketiah last year. I don't want to see us doing it again.
Some of the above might go on to be good, but as we've proven with Eze, Olise, Sarr, Wharton, Guehi, Lacroix, Munoz etc you can get very good players for less when you look in the right places.

That is Palace fault we had the chance to buy that guy under PV for 15m and SP wouldn't put up the cash this is something we keep doing running off old lists of players.
It was a panic buy because we wait to long messing about.
Those players you mention only 1 of them had never played in England before and they all had fees so not like a few million. (When a player as well has played international football even if England under 21 price always goes high)
Munoz is the stand out one.
I'm not saying don't buy from England. I'm saying don't pay inflated prices for players who've barely proved themselves. I know we paid fees for our players but mostly about half or less of what's getting paid for the players spoken about earlier.
Oh ye and Lacroix hadn't played in England either, not just Munoz 😜
