Hamstrings?

I'm not sure I can criticise him for extra training. He may have had a specific issue and felt it was necessary. Apparently his personal fitness coach has a good track record so this maybe just bad luck.

Anyway I would rather a player trying too hard in training than a Connor Wickham.
No complaints about training harder but professional sportsmen have their training regimes carefully calibrated/structured or whatever the word is. If he feels he needs more he should probably sort it out with the club staff.

He does seem very protective of his players. Holding must have really pi$$ed his kipper.
Loyalty works both ways. He’s very protective of the players but expects loyalty in return. I’m sure Holding questioning his decision was a cardinal sin as far as he was concerned but he still showed loyalty to the player by refusing to reveal what happened when the press asked.

Yes, that's true. I didn't mean it as a criticism - he does seem to be building a team spirit and togetherness which will hopefully help see us through dodgy periods.

I think it was more to do with OG telling Holding we couldn’t have more than one gooner in the side and I can’t say I blame him.
