Somehow everyone needs to taker a deep breath and make sure our focus is 100% on trying to win Conference League ( I am assuming we can't implode to the point where relegation is a possibility ).
Worth a decent amount of TV and prize money and European football next year

With a fully fit squad, even without Guehi we have a chance to go deep in the competition.

Nothing will be gained if a section of the fans turn on the manager.

I think you will find that presently we are imploding and that relegation is a strong possibility. Westham winning at Spurs didn’t help and they will now be up for games coming up. Let’s hope our returning players make the difference and we get some points on the board? But yes, we also need to go deeper into the Conference Cup.

Indeed , cant see any point in allowing a few bad weeks to ruin what can still be a decent season . The whole club along with the fans need to stop throwing the blame around and fight for each other .

We are in the same canoe on this matter.
I am deeply concerned, brow 'Corrugated' with worries.

For the naysayers here, we need 8 more points to be safe realistically. With the air cleared hopefully we get them under Glasner, if not I'm pretty confident an interim manager will get them.

Sarr looked sharp yesterday at Afcon and had a good goal disallowed by an incompetent referee and hapless VAR. He didn’t play much during the competition so should be fighting fit and keen to get on the pitch at the weekend.

I thought that, made a real difference when he came on. Put a couple of great crosses in too.

However I was hoping they lost to get him back sooner. Assuming there will be some celebrating and parades etc,

OK so all of my life when we have been in the top division be division 1 or Premier whatever the point is until we get to 40pts we are in a relegation battle. Roy understood this Sir Steve too. So that never changes. Always bare in mind with an unfashionable club from South London who strengths of being street urchins who encourage of cage footballers to give their all.

you dont know west spam 1 step forward 3 back and thats how the fans are viewing because thats whats happened all season , I get full reports from friends and son in law on them , I have more spammers on my phone than Palace

Ive got a sneaky feeling our luck might just change this coming Sunday. Sarr will be back so we won't be far off full strength again. After a very bumpy month, maybe the mood will have lightened up and we may surprise even ourselves.

I agree the Conference League should be our main focus but it’s risky to suggest we are safe or clear from relegation. West Ham and Forest had good results on the weekend, enough to spark momentum and given our poor run of form coupled with the distractions of Glasner, I struggle to see where we can find that winning formula.

Even with Guehi in the squad we weren’t winning games so despite him leaving, we have enough resource to be competitive.

One thing I am sure of is that Palace fans will not turn on Glasner or the players…. until it gets bad (i.e., getting knocked out of conference league and creeping closer towards relegation). All we ask for is honesty and dedication and I’m not seeing that at the moment.

I really think we are bang in trouble now, we were a thin squad to begin with and selling our best players at the rate we are doing will be our downfall.

I hope I’m wrong, but this has got the same feeling as when Coppell was in charge, but this time we have Glasner who doesn’t want to be here! I’m normally optimistic, but not this time…..

He got booed at Sunderland, and that was before his outrageous speech. He threw the bench under the bus. Who does that? Even if he believed it (and he’s started many of them before…) he should never tell the world that. Disgraceful

Parish isn’t going anywhere, so you need a manager/coach who understands the business model and the club, if you don’t you are going to have problems, that is why someone who has been connected to the club IMO is the only way forward, and for me the number one target should be Tony Popovic after he finishes his role with Australia, he can sign a contract to take over on July 1st and already have plans for recruitment of staff and players, and in an ideal world have Freedman back as DOF.

We need someone aligned with our values. And those are set by Parish. Popovic seems to be doing Ok but seems a touch inexperienced. Has Dougie finished his penance yet?

I think you are wrong, I was around in the early 80’s as well and it feels nothing like that and the 90’s collapse. We’ve had a poor run which I think we all see coming with the extra games and our small squad as the over used players run out of steam. But we’ve got a reasonable amount of points on the board, we’ve got players coming back and I’ve no doubt we’ll have a couple of newbies coming in as well. We will get our second wind, we don’t actually need that many more points to stay out of trouble.
People always seem to react to current form, when it’s a long season of ups and downs with many variables that can effect form and results
We sell our best players, it’s what we are, but unlike early 80’s and 90’s we’ve done a better job of replacing them……so far
