Glasner to Forest

Agree,
Plus one thing many have overlooked is Glasner was being touted for the Man United job when Amorim was still in the job. Glasner at the time stated it would be inappropriate and disrespectful to talk about another manager's job.
Funny, didn't stop him agreeing to take Periera's job. In fact he'd agreed the deal, the wages and the length of contract before Periera had even been sacked.
This I feel makes Glasner look a bit of a See/You/Next/Tuesday!
Well, when you realise things are going pear-shaped, you just quickly throw your high moral standards overboard. Clearly, his schoolings of everybody have fallen silent for the time being (in Austria as well). But at some point he’ll surely tell us again what Ollie thinks of Ollie and the world, and hope that we minnows understand too. He was brilliant for us and I’m grateful to him despite his faults, but he was a bit childish and snooty, think that's for sure.

Put it this way, when it was announced he was leaving the potential clubs mentioned for his next stop were Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea - not Forest.
And he knew it, hence the outburst, and although I know he’s hardly going to be destitute and he’s not exactly going to Wigan athletic, for not getting a top job, he only has himself to blame, his self preserving outburst did the exact opposite of what he was hoping

He will be if he doesn't get them into Europe.
The owner will want his pound of flesh for the reputed £14 million salary.
We're only paying Sage £1 million plus luncheon vouchers.
Luncheon vouchers or Puncheon vouchers? The latter granting you permission to hoof a ball into space and go for a poo.

Let’s call this what it is. A mercenary liar (Fact) moving to a team that did there best to f*** him and us over to push for us to drop down the Europa cup to conference. An owner that will in no way put up with 15 or so games without a win. The only reason we did was because we had a competition we were still in.

Glasner has proved he is a mug. I only hope that Sage hits the ground running and we forget all about this turn coat. If any of the players want to join him they can f*** off too as long as we get decent money for them.

As Keegan said… I will love it. LOVE IT if we beat them and if they sack him that would be great too.

Glasner thought he was going to walk into a top top job and instead ends up in that midlands s*** hole. Karma is a bitch and I hope he gets what he deserves… turn coat c***.

Glasner, was probably attracted by not only a huge salary but vast funds to spend in the transfer window, unlike penny pinching Parish. who is merely happy to survive in the bottom half of the table, repeatedly, while selling the family silver.

Fair comment Den .

It does make me wonder though what goes on behind the scenes . If I recall Glasner was first sounded out by Textor (or likely Textors advisors) . The Textor that messed up the UEFA cup entry and saw our demotion in Favour of Forest ,the Textor that became pally with the Fat Greek moving numerous players from Textor clubs to the Fat Greeks clubs .
It all seems a bit nod nod , wink wink that Glasner now ends up at Forest .

But sod him lifes too short to worry about all that underhand stuff , you are either Palace or you are not and Glasner has proven that he wasn't an Eagle after all

We move on and trust that Parish has done his homework in employing Sage ,game 6 will be interesting to say the least .

What have big spending Forest won in the last 40 years? What family silver has Parish sold off, that he didn't have to due to release clauses and contracts expiring?
In most of your posts you just talk a load of biased nonsense, that just aren't factual.
Glasners gone and history, more concerned how Sage will develop the team rather than bothering with a yesterdays man.

Should he have just spent whatever Glasner wanted? Not obtained a fee for Marc? And then watched him walk at the end of the season anyway?

Or should he have followed Texor's advice, and spend, spend spend?

we had a net spend of approx £63m in the january window. Ok we didn't spend wisely but we did spend.

I might be 'Way off beam' but I suspect many of our supporters are rankled and irked that he has joined Nottm Forest and hope that his tenure is unsuccessful.

I view Glasner as a manager who provided the club with unparalleled success, fulfilled his contract and was then free to negotiate with any club who were interested in his services.
I don't, he is as cunning as a very cunning thing in cunning season.

I’m probably a milder version of you on this one, Lanzo .

I’ve always felt he’s a bit of a one-trick pony, albeit one who inherited a very decent setup. That said, you can’t really deny the results. He played in two cup competitions and won both of them, and we did perfectly respectably in the others as well.

Would he be the manager I’d choose for 38 games over a league season? Absolutely not. But in terms of galvanising a side for a cup run, he clearly knew what he was doing.

For me, his time here was a bit like a marriage. It had its good moments and its bad moments, but it was a relationship for a period of time, and ultimately it produced three beautiful children, even if the Charity Shield was slightly the stepchild of the collection.

I think people can get it wrong both ways. Rose-tinted specs can make you remember it as better than it was, but hating the bloke can make you dismiss what he actually achieved.

I work in tax advice, and I’ve been doing it for nearly 30 years. I have zero passion for it anymore, but that doesn’t really matter. I always say to people: do you want someone who’s passionate, or do you want someone who’s competent?

It’s like getting on a plane. The pilot can be the biggest arsehole in the world and only there for the money, but if he knows how to land the thing safely, I really couldn’t give a toss whether he’s likeable. I’ll take competent over likeable any day of the week. Steve Kember was one of us and warmly received, Peter Taylor too and Pardew to an extent. Would I want any of those three? No!

That’s how I look at him. He wasn’t necessarily someone I loved watching every week, and I wouldn’t want him there forever, but he was the right manager at the right time for a finite period. That time has now passed.

I’ll always be grateful for what he achieved, but am I going to miss him? Not particularly. His contract ran out, he chose not to renew. That’s his choice.

I would take a tight fisted but somebody who actually cares about our club over that fat fucker at forest any day

If I were a player, I'd be taking a fairly pragmatic view of this.

Surely - you look at it and think, "yes I like playing for OG" but -Marinakis has a track record of changing managers. You potentially sign a three-year contract, and there's every chance you end up spending most of those three years at Nottingham Forest under a manager who doesn't really fancy you or play you.

On top of that, while Nottingham's a perfectly decent city, it doesn't have the same pull or appeal that London does for a lot of players. If you're weighing up similar offers, that's another factor that inevitably comes into the equation.
Nottingham a decent city? Are you sure? It's not called the 'gun city of UK' for nothing.
