Glasner to Forest

Only hated by small minded idiots

Forest have a bigger stadium and more revenue, planning permission to increase from 35,000 to 52,000 I think.

On the pitch we have neem more successful past couple of years in silverware, silverware is great but doesn't mean you become a big club just because you win a trophy
Current capacity is 30,000 with planning permission to increase to 42,000 I believe. So the difffence compared to us with regards to income will be very marginal at best.

I think any sensible person would agree at best it’s a sideways move.

That is a view, let's see who get the extra seats first.

SP capacity is listed as 25,194.

OG bank account not going sideways !

At least Marinakis is putting his money where his mouth is.

Palace and Forest similar odds to be relegated , around 6/1 and both 500/1 to win the league.

I didn't give a view on whether the move up, down or sideways, depends on what lens you are looking through.

Notts Forest fans genuinely believe that they are signing Wharton...am i missing something?!
Yeah, for some reason my social feeds are now all forest stuff.

They seem to think they've stolen Glasner from us and Wharton will be going there.

I may be wrong, they may want to spend all or most of Anderson's money on him, but surely if he leaves it'll be to a top club?

I don't know. I know we have fans the same, some are in this forum, but they seem to think their chairman is the Messiah and they're a top 6 club.

It's all a bit odd.

He's the one player who will definitely not be moving there. He is clearly ambitious and I can't see him staying with us for more than one more season, but moving to Forest right now would be a step down as they're not in Europe, same odds as us of relegation, wouldn't increase chances of a regular England spot, and they have a volatile chairman. If they weren't big enough for Anderson, why would they be big enough for Wharton? Plus, Parish would add a Marinakis tax, pushing any acceptable offer to at least what they sold Anderson for. They can't afford him.

Aside from Kamada, the rest of the squad is in the hands of Parish. He could essentially blackball Forest and refuse to consider any offers from them for any of our players. According to reports, we're under no pressure to sell.

Jeeps, what a bunch of deluded souls, who confuse the truth with fiction.

You know what it might sound weird but Glasner going to Forest doesn't surprise me at all.. Listen he's been our most successful manager ever that's not in doubt but I've always said Glasner is a massive narcissist. He cares about no one but himself, and he's entitled to be like that if he so wishes.

Winning the Conference League was amazing obviously but it also papered over what was, from a League perspective a really poor season and if it wasn't for the fact we picked up a decent amount of points in the first 8 weeks of the season we would have been bang in trouble.

I wish him well. He will throw his toys out the pram I've no doubt. He's done it at every club he's been at. It will just be interesting to see, when it does happen, how Maranakis will react.
You failed to mention M*ccl*sfield too!!

Pretty much where I am. I have never gotten past the sh*tshow that happenned over the winter, where he threw all his toys, (followed by our academy boys) out of the pram. Respect for him and SP to smooth relations and to get it together once Sarr got back from the ACN, but he can do one.

This latest show of disrespect beggars belief. After all that's gone on between us and Forest, that's one place that should he should not have gone straight into, and just makes you remember what a narcissistic person he is. It's not a career move, he must know that - 4 different managers last season alone. But, perhaps he's gone in there to F*uck em over, and blame it all on Marinakis, whilst he walks away with pockets full of cash. That may be the only way he can redeem himself in my eyes.

I don't Hate him, though, I'm just dissapointed in the way it's turned out. OG is a reflection of what is wrong with football nowadays; In it for himself, for the money and personal glory. Difference is, he has no interest in pretending it's any other way.

My only hope from here is even if our players show the desire to follow to Forest, SP either super inflates their price, or simply flat refuses. Hughes to Forest for 70M anyone?

With the greatest of respect I have an alternative viewpoint.
Glasner honoured his contract and was then free to negotiate with any club and join a club of his choosing. He was under no obligation to prohibit entertaining advances from a club owing to 'History' between that club and his erstwhile employers.
I do not recall Coppell being labelled "Disrespectful" when he took up the reins at Brighton.

I'm still on the fence over this. I always thought I would want him to do well at his next club. I'm not so sure now. It's a move that has surprised most of the media. It's a sideways move at best for him in terms of ambition. He isn't going to achieve anymore there than he did with us, most likely will be less.

I am grateful to him for providing the moments that we all experienced. I am sure he will get a decent reception in October. One thing he does need to remember, and that is he is not one of us. Despite what he said in his speech at Selhurst in May.

All true, but I don't think the general fan base appreciates Glasner going to Forest. You can win all you want but when you have left and you have gone to a rival, in this case a bunch of wankers, then you cannot expect to be treated well by fans of your former club.
Football fans don't tend to be that forgiving. I didn't listen to Glasner since last Christmas, so personally had lost any connection to him. There wasn't much point listening to him. It's not like I couldn't guess everything about the way the team was going to be set up. I could just take a picture of one of our games and simply change due to injuries. There was never anything different. Only the after match excuses would have changed and I wasn't listening to it. We were terrible for ages. It wasn't just injuries, although that doesn't help.
Every opposition team knew how we would play and had all the time in the world to come up with a plan to counter it. That it took other teams a year to do it is a testament to the wonderful tactical astuteness of those fabled Premier League managers.
Half of it - or more is pure spoof.
It's mostly trying to turn an unmotivated bunch of rich misfits into a team that will show up once in a while. Between holidays, driving offences, hair styling, tattooing and casual drug taking orgies.

It's annoying because he always seems to win a trophy.

They seem very smug about it. We'll see how smug they are when their right back gets injured and then don't win for 12 games.
If he does it will be the League cup and Forest will finish 15th
