Glasner Out

If the only reason SP hasn’t has got rid of OG is down to money, can we set up a go fund me page and name it “get this clown out of our club”
I would certainly be happy to chip in to see the back of OG at this stage.
The pay off can't be that much surely, he's only got a couple months of his contract left. Just get shot of him now. Put Paddy in charge.

CPFCSaturn, est1905, madcap_v2, Linford any comments ?

Lanzo, I think you need to add me to that group. I’ve tried to understand the rationale of keeping Glasner in the job since his apparent’ giving notice ‘ in October. Based upon both personal experience of being in a similar situation myself and trusting that Steve Parish had weighed everything up and decided that was the best way forward.

I’ve also defended Glasner as I thought - and still do - that the club have been ham fisted in their approach to the last couple of transfer windows.

I don’t know about him ‘ losing the dressing room ‘ as such. In the fullness of time that may very well come out.

But what I’m starting to see from Glasner is the type of behaviour that I saw in Eddie Howe a few years ago when Bournemouth were going down. The look of someone that just doesn’t know how to turn things around.

We had as much right to expect our team to win tonight’s game as an Arsenal fan would have last night when they failed to beat Wolves. And we know how that turned out.

Our team simply aren’t performing to an acceptable standard at the moment . That’s partially due to a lack of confidence but in a results business the Manager takes ultimate responsibility.

A win on Sunday and another next Thursday and things will feel a lot better than they do tonight. I realise that’s a very optimistic view and seems somewhat unlikely as I write this.

If that doesn’t happen then I think it has to be accepted that the decision to keep Glasner hasn’t worked out.

Will never understand how keeping around an unstable, wantaway misery guts after a humiliating meltdown was seen as measured and clever by Parish. It was absolutely begging for trouble. Now his toxicity has completely poisoned the club.

Yet again when we should be bold we dither and suffer for it

My worry is not that he 'lost' the dressing room but that he took the dressing room with him as he sprinted for the exit door

'Guys, Guys, Guys - I'm leaving - I'm leaving these bastards that run the club - they abandoned us after I played you all every minute of every game 3 games a week they failed to protect you - the bastards - and broke their transfer record the bastards - I'm leaving guys, guys, guys - leave with me'

and they have

OGs only hope of prolonging his stay is winning next week. If the board dont put him on gardening leave tomorrow they will if he loses next week. Sacking him or gardening leave financially amounts to the same thing. Palace wont get relegated, they only need a handful of points from 12 games. If OG does fail next week the replacement or temp has 11 games to get a tune out of a decent squad who are low on confidence. Good preparation for next season. But hopefully they win next week and the European adventure continues.

We are the worst team in the PL at present.
Only 1 win in our last 15 games, only 4 wins at Home.
Our defence looks porous and our performances have been exceedingly disappointing
I recall Macclesfield,Larnaca, KUPS, the debacle against Burnley and tonight's performance and result against Zrinjski Mostar.
Even a "Handful of points" seems out of reach. We are in serious trouble.

We have been in more precarious positions in previous years and not of course with European games in the mix ..... but I have never felt so less confident in the ability of the team that goes on to the pitch to make something good happen. We used to have our wild cards (Wilf, Olise, Eze etc.) but now we seem devoid of any inspiration on the pitch. Then we had Roy, many of us did not like his pragmatic style, but ... we had hope. Now, I seem to have lost all hope 🙁

If it’s going to be Frank why wouldn’t you install him now. Gets the chance to assess the squad first hand, new manager bounce gives us the points we need. Unless of course there is something in his severance from Spurs preventing this.
If it’s not Frank - ignore
