Likewise. I'd only just stopped grieving that Ahamada had leftGuehi to City basically confirmed too for £20m. Other than the captain f***ing off, the manager f***ing off, the striker and right back wanting out, and every club wanting Wharton, having a bloody good afternoon.

I echo these sentiments. This is of course very disappointing news, but no surprise really. Ollie has been quite the revelation for our club - we've seen some fabulous football under his guidance and he led us to win the FA Cup and the Community Shield, both matches provided us with unprecedented memories.
Our results of late have been disappointing to say the least and many of us have suspected that his decision not to renew his contract has been on the cards for a while. It has certainly felt to me that the camaraderie and cohesion within the team has been lacking in recent times.
If, as has been suggested, Ollie made his decision known to Mr Parish last year, then we must believe that work has been going on behind the scenes to find a suitable replacement. I agree with the line that says he will pull out all the stops to win the Conference League and finish as high up the PL table as possible in order to boost his own reputation. Unless of course he already has an offer on the table.
In any event I'd like to take this, perhaps premature opportunity, to thank Ollie for bringing us some delightful footballing memories and to wish him success in the future. It was fun while it lasted.

it would be madness to get rid of Glasner now. I don't understand how anyone can think that's a good option. Our best chance of getting the next manager hire right, is to wait until the summer when more are available/open to change. We're not ManUre clowning around with an interim manager for an interim manager (yes you read that right). Glasner gives us the best chance in the Conf league and prem too.

Thats the exact reason we DONT 'cut the cord. Not if we are serious about winning the Conference League. A new manager couldn't come in and get them playing his way in such a short space of time. It's difficult isn't it. Do we cut the cord now for the sake of team morale? Or persevere and deal with it all in the summer? We might be able to get Thomas Frank if Spurs get rid. Or Glasner might still deliver another trophy if we get some players back and they are professional about things.
SP will get a lot of flack for not being ambitious enough in the summer, but it's exactly what happened in 91. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes in Sunderland tomorrow or having to decide what to do in the rest of this window.

I totally understand your thinking on this matter.Thats the exact reason we DONT 'cut the cord. Not if we are serious about winning the Conference League. A new manager couldn't come in and get them playing his way in such a short space of time.
Of course, I'm talking about playing staff'Team Glasner' off the field will depart.
Laughable, Paddy will want palace to win, if it affects Man Utd position in the league, qualification wise, and a win for us will keep them out, we will lose.Thats the exact reason we DONT 'cut the cord. Not if we are serious about winning the Conference League. A new manager couldn't come in and get them playing his way in such a short space of time.
LaCroix is also a worry 100% a Glasner signingIt looked like some of the players had at least an inkling that he wasn't carrying on beyond this season.
Many questions now but where is he going and who will he take with him is foremost ?! I would imagine Kamada may be in frame to follow him again but praying that our best talent doesn't get poached if he goes to Prem rivals.
What a week to be an Eagle 😌
In what way is he not committed? Theres a big difference between signing a 2 & half year contract and seeing that through to the end and deciding not to spend an additional 2, 3 or 4 years at the club after that. You think players react well to a manager who isn't committed?
I think the last few weeks has proven that they don't.
I think Glasner deserves the plaudits for what he has done, but personally I think it's corrosive to have staff at the club who aren't committed to it.
The dressing room has to have a unity of purpose or it's just a band of mercenaries.

I'm not saying that players will immediately go with him (presumably to a top 6 or 7 team) at end of this season - I do think however, he will come back and raid the club for proven talent that he has coached and nurtured, like Wharton, Munoz...OG has zero say in anyone going with him. No one leaves that the club does not want to. Parish is no idiot. He will not let anyone leave that the new guy wants to keep.
Thank you for your input Mrs Lanzo 🤣Vindication lanzo 💪 you say the stuff others are too scared to say
Yep their contracts will probably be up in the summer as well'Team Glasner' off the field will depart.
