After 10th Jan we have only one game a week (because we were knocked out the league cup) which is in theory the time when Glasner has his contract talks (he is possibly waiting to see what Jan signings we get if any). If he hasnt signed by the end of January then he is gone and we will be looking for a new manager. It might seem petty but putting him on gardening leave might be sensible and means we could attract a better new managerial candidate. The new guy would have a crack at winning the conference league or get us a good place in the league or it would just give them time to bed in before the summer transfer window.
Glasner was presented with a squad of Henderson, Muñoz, Guehi, Richard, Andersen, Mitchell, Wharton, Lerma, Hughes, Mateta, Eze and Olise
Olise and Andersen were replaced with Sarr and Lacroix, early, while Freedman was DOF, we finished 12th, yes, we won the FA cup, which was fantastic, but, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes

Is there any point in which SP would just announce that OG is not coming back next season?
It feels at the moment like the club is being held hostage by OG's public waffling over his future. Like we're terrified to make any moves (such as selling Guehi) that might upset Glasner. The fact is, if OG wanted to come back, he'd already have re-signed. He's clearly leaving.
SP could give OG a final offer and a deadline, and if he doesn't sign it, then announce that we're moving on at the end of the season. Start the search for a new manager, and make some hard decisions on selling Guehi. I feel like the club needs to regain control of this situation.

Embarrassing thread - we really have been spoilt rotten… 6th most points in the top flight in 2025 with a cup win to boot.
Our drop off in form is really simple: Munoz, Sarr and Kamada are 3 of our most important players, and the replacements (particularly Devenny and Clyne) are miles off the required standard. Results and performances have dropped off as a result, although we continue to create and miss plenty of chances in games.
The idea that our situation gets any better by sacking our best ever manager is childish.
Our drop off in form is really simple: Munoz, Sarr and Kamada are 3 of our most important players, and the replacements (particularly Devenny and Clyne) are miles off the required standard. Results and performances have dropped off as a result, although we continue to create and miss plenty of chances in games.

We currently have four quality first teamers out which has exposed our lack of depth. Most of our recent new signings are not preforming as whoever signed them had hoped.
Our aim now must surely be to bring in relevant players to satisfy Glasner to sign an extension or face the inevitable that he is not going to stay on beyond this season.
However, our current missing players will anyway return to bolster our current shortage and Parish should then hopefully get some breathing space to address our future.
February should give us a clearer picture to our current uncertainties.

He resigned, due to not being given the players he wanted.
He was and still is thought of very highly in Frankfurt. He did a fantastic job there and got them a European trophy. That was well beyond their horizon when he came in. It was well beyond our’s when he came in here, too.

Some people are losing their minds in this thread. Really can’t believe a thread called “Glasner Out” even exists as a serious suggestion right now.
Let’s all just remember where we are right now and where we’ve actually came from. It’s all down to Ollie. He’s doing a fantastic job, and he is doing it with very limited resources for what are now the expectations.
We only have those expectations now in the first place because of how far he has taken us as a club in a relatively short space of time.
Almost the entire squad can say they have grown as players under his coaching. That’s a rare and extremely valuable quality in a coach.
There is only so much you can do with what you are given. We overachieved by winning a trophy under a well-drilled system. Owing to that, we found ourselves with a tighter schedule this season, and all that entails.
In those circumstances, if you want to keep on that upward trajectory, you have to make the moves that match it. Ollie very rightly has said the same thing, he was promised more in the Summer and yes with some less-than-ideal legal distractions in the background we didn’t deliver.
He still managed to keep the momentum going and we had an extraordinary start. Followed up the FA Cup with the Community Shield. Beat Liverpool four times back to back. Put all the top five to the sword. Floated around the top 4-6 in the league, came one scuffed Mateta shot away from top of the table at one point.
We’ve never performed at the levels we’ve been seeing over the last season-and-a-half. It’s not 100% consistent, I wouldn’t expect it to be, but it is an overachievement, and it is all owing to the manager, who is a high standard of coach and has that something special that makes special things happen.
Forget “Glasner Out”, just back him to the hilt, give him what he needs and reap the rewards.

I think it took a year of awful performances and an injury crisis for Amorim to change his tactics. Think we've still got a while to get there.
But I'm not opposed to a temporary switch to a back 4 until Munoz/replacement arrives. It's asking too much of Clyne ATM.
Assuming Richards is still injured for the next game I would go slightly different as I think we need to play with some width otherwise you'd be asking the team to not only swap formation but also completely alter their style too. Which in 3 days is a little nuts (I don't think we'll change formation at all tbh considering the tight turn around- it's not like a computer game). But anyway...
Fluctuating between 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 as Uche can move up with Mateta. I'd go with Lerma over Hughes for protection at corners and his throws. In attack I'm sure it'd be fairly disjointed but possibly enough attacking talent for something to click and get a goal. If we went to a pure 442 then I'd replace Nketiah with Devenney.

Despite that, we're still in Europe and have our second-highest points tally for this stage of a Premier League season and are three points off the top 5, and all with a net spend of -£23 million.

Glasner does not obey people, he obeys imperatives, and the imperative was to sort transfer dealings out in good time, and he said this repeatedly from Sept'24 till June '25 - he was not stating an opinion he was stating a fact but he was not listened to. The recruitment was not up to the previous standard with Doogie, and that recruitment is the other key factor in our recent success. His point about no replacement for Sarr when it was clear he would be away with AFCON exposes the short-sightedness of the board - Ollie wasn't asking for the bank to be broken, just for the money from sales to be reinvested so we could maintain our newly acquired lofty position. The failure to maintain the squad has clearly affected trust between him and Parrish and that trust will only be restored by making the necessary additions to the squad in January. Parrish spent our way out of trouble with Big Sam, he needs to go again next month - it might not need fortunes either, Bobb could be half the price and more of a player than Johnson, and there is always the loan market.
Thankfully no transfer fee involved.

The players are PROFESSIONALS. They are paid (Massive money) to do their job. Glasner's situtaion is none of their business.
As far as Glasner himself is concerned he has every right to see what the club do in the January window before deciding to commit or not. The club and Glasner have agreed they will sit down mid January and see if a deal can be done.
If its a yes then that is great news. If he says no then the process of finding his successor begins.
Its called patience. Its not rocket science
