Surely not. If we have an upturn in form and skip away from relegation....no worries, he can stay for a few weeks more. If we lose at Forest/ dont beat Burnley and the Bosnians he must be shown the door and Paddy or a.n.other relegation escape merchant can take over. In press briefing Glasner looks as if he truly isn't bothered about anything. We desperately need someone in situ who is going to focus our players for the next 4 months and get them playing to their potential (and to impress the new manager who surely has already been approached if Glasner has been known to be leaving since October!) COYP!

He will be gone if we lose tomorrow and at Brighton. At that point it will be a full on relegation fight and he is not the person for that. Also I think the board’s patience (not to mention the fans) will have completely gone.

Looks like it, doesn't it? And surely his demeanour since his announcement can't be attractive to prospective employers. Although of course football operates in a strange way so a new manager who only stays for two years, sticks rigidly to one system and criticises the club might not matter at all.

As much as the toxic attitude towards Glasner on here, I must be one of the few who still has sympathy on here.

SP and the Board have let him, the players and the fans down. In May we won the FA Cup, we knew there would be additional games and we had a squad that if we strengthened it may win the European competition and be capable of a top 7 or 8 place in the league. But we didn't. It was all a last minute scramble to get players in, and this is, with the exception of Johnson, exactly what is happening this window.

Glasner is not the first manager who has criticised the way the Board acts, in fact its a re-occurring theme.

His announcement of leaving in the middle of a transfer window and outbursts are not helping, but I believe born out of frustration.

The way we operate is now becoming predictable. Even now in a massive slump, we don't get players in, prepared to write off games in January. Soon SP will push Glasner, with Glasner taking the blame and SP having conned most of the fans again.

We deserve to go down.

Knew after FA Cup victory that there would be extra games via European qualification, and heightened expectation, hence need to bolster squad. Poor additions made.

Knows the manager has announced his departure, keeps quiet and it is left to the manager to reveal that he is leaving during a press conference. Agrees to manager staying till the end of his contract, despite the manager having no genuine interest, evident through results and lack of action in real time to alter course of events during games, and a truly dreadful run of results, including being deservedly knocked out as holders of the FA Cup by a team ranked 117 places below.
Spends £35m on a player out of the blue who plays in a position the club already has numbers for.
There's probably more.
Glasner, for his documented faults, probably realised that he is just one in a line of managers to deal with Parish. Parish the common denominator, the reason why thus far 12th to 14th is the norm. This is as good as it gets, to paraphrase Roy Hodgson.

Its good to see that I'm not the only one who sees it like this as well.

We won the FA Cup because of Glasner and how he moulded the team together and got them playing together. I won't forget that.

I don't think there is a 'next level' for us, but there is a chance to make hay whilst the sun shines and I believe we could have had a couple of successful seasons with Glasner, if the board acted early and supported him. They didn't.

I hope in the summer I hope the board assesses critically their and SP's performance over the last season and do what they can to improve it, rather than keep making the same mistakes.

I think this is the million dollar question. The way he has been talking in press conferences has been about protecting the team but I can’t remember an interview from a player about anything related to Glasner or our form since Guehi left?

I would imagine he’s popular with those players he plays every week regardless of how well or otherwise they perform. The perennial bench warmers and those who don’t even make the bench will be glad to see the back of him.
With hindsight he was never the manager to succeed this season given his inflexibility. He’s a cup winner but not someone whose teams will withstand the rigorous of a long hard season. He’s shown that in other jobs. He won us the FA cup and should perhaps have moved on last summer. Clearly his heart left some months ago.

What I can’t get my head around, if we were going to spend possibly £85 million and a loan signing, not including Pino, uche and canvot… why the f*** didn’t we do early business in the summer and possibly we could have kept momentum going, it truly baffles me.
