Fulham predictions

Psychologically this game will be welcome respite from the league. In a way we saw a refreshed, unbridled performance in Turkey and I'd expect us to play well in this game even with lots of changes.

It would be a good chance to try out a different midfield pairing, and to give Osorio some minutes. Maybe even Gozo (anyone heard what is happening with him? He is supposed to be superb).

I'll say 1-3 Palace.

I'd like to see Sage try something different, either in formation or tactics (or both) in preparation for Spurs, but I don't see that happening. I definitely think Wharton, Mitchell and Khalaili could do with a rest. I also wouldn't risk starting JP for the third game in 8 days given he's only just back from injury. If Sage is sticking with three centre-backs then I would be of a mind to leave them unchanged from Sunday, as we really need them to develop an understanding. Hopefully some of the fringe players take their chance and bring some positivity to the club. Osario, in particular, looks like he has something to offer.

These games are almost impossible to predict, as we have no idea how strong a team both sides will decide to put out. Despite that, I think we might win this purely on the basis that I think there still seems a willingness among the players to fight for Sage, they just need some confidence and belief to return. 1-3 Palace.

I was going to mention Gozo. Didn't we pay something like 17m for him? If he's that good, then this is his chance - get him out there! Osorio looks like a player who can change a game, we need one or two like him to get in on the act. C'mon Palace....this is a late k.o. for me, 2:45am, so it'd better be worth it.

I think we need a morale boosting win.

If Sage is under the reported internal pressure then he needs a result tonight.

We've won this fixture the last three times , I don't see us making it four.

1-0 Fulham
I’m not sure tonight’s result will make any difference to Sage’s position. It’ll be good for the players and us fans, but it’s the spurs game sage needs to win if he’s got a chance of keeping his job

Play the reserves. I remember last year in the QF we had to play games within 2 days of each other. We don't need this this year!

To be fair, not a bad side… 3-2 Fulham. I actually liked the look of Osario in his brief cameos.
