Fredrikstad Travel?

Looking at flying into Gothenburg then train up to Oslo then onto fredrikstad
 
Mad prices on Oslo flights, so we have opted for flights into Gothenburg late on 27th, arriving approx 12am, then getting a bus to Sarpsborg, bus leaves Gothenburg Central station at 515am, 2.5 hour transfer to Sarpsborg, then a short 12 min train to Fredrikstad. Nightmare start to the journey with a bit of a wait at Central station, but for flights at £204 return to Gothenburg, thought it was worth the hassle

We booked Ryanair from Manchester last week and the price was very reasonable-but that may no longer be the case.

Just checked out the same and even Gothenburg flights are getting pricey ... bought tickets for the game ... now to solve the puzzle of hotels and flights 🤣
 
I booked flights after the first leg. Heathrow to Oslo - British Airways - very reasonable.

Had the Quality hotel booked in Fredrikstad but two days after booking I got an email to say they were sorry but they can no longer accommodate me at that hotel but have transferred me to another in their group nearby 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m not precious. The one they’ve put us in looks fine and is still nearby.

Doing a few days in Oslo after the game.

Train or bus from Oslo to Fredrikstad, both look reasonable.

Bit the bullet and fly out Wednesday night and back home Sunday morning (£590 for me & my boy), hotel in the middle of Oslo for 4 nights (£865) … not cheap, but after hunting for best way to book for 5 hours, got too stressed 🤣

Must be better prepared next time!!!
 
Found I can go to away leg now anyone got a spare ticket in Palace end as sold out on site. I am a season ticket holder
 
Arrived into Oslo airport last night and staying at an airport hotel. Will take the train or bus to Sarpsborg tomorrow (Wednesday) which is where we’re staying for two nights.

Anyone else staying in Sarpsborg give us a shout or let us know if you’ve found anywhere decent to eat or have a drink.

Will take a short bus ride to Fredrikstad on Thursday morning and see where the Palace are gathering pre-match.
