Fredrikstad Predictions

Do we know why Hughes hasn't travelled, or did I miss it?
Major, major blow if he's injured.
Concussion I would think, he was staggering around after a clash of heads on Sunday. Glasner’s comments make sense in that case.

I’m hoping he is back for Sunday after a weeks’ rest and having completed the minimum 6 days recovery for a concussion but as others have said he was also limping.

The artificial pitch may allow us to move the ball faster which when we did in the first leg we looked dangerous. Also they have to come out and play more as a draw won't help. Predict a nervy narrow win for us and progression into the group stages. COYP !!
True, but it's harder going from artificial to grass, so they may improve aswell.

I am going to risk jinxing the result and say I think 2-0 to us. I am hoping that when they decide to come out (ooh err missus) we will catch them on the break. I suppose it doesn't matter as long as their score is 0.

Crowd attendance will be poor.
Local police will see some Palace fans gathered pre-match, outside a pub and arrest 300 Palace going for a walk to the ground.
The game will end 1-0 Palace, but UEFA will fine Palace and chuck them out of the tournament for fans misbehaviour. Palace will have a 50 year ban from European competition.

And hand Liverpool the community shield for good measure

First goal tonight is important and I am just hoping that they don't score first.

At some point though they have to come out of the low block that deployed very effectively last week. That's when our speed on the break could be very useful.

0-2 Palace.

I doubt Glasner will have a Happy 51st Birthday.
Willo, why oh why do you have to always be so negative?

I think you do it to get a response (which, Ironically, I think I have just given you!!)

I know you like to be confrontational on here but just occasionally support YOUR team.

Now you can reply with some "flouncy" old English prose ... but just be open and honest ... do you really see the negative in YOUR team all the time?

Chin up ol' fella.
