Has anyone noticed that a lot of the "insider" posts with info about what is going on behind the scenes at Palace seem to come from "Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown"..

Reports ranging from Sage's future at the club to transfers, player thoughts and new manager options.

My question is, what does Mick Brown have to do with Palace? As far as I can tell he is now well into his eighties and has never worked at the club... And yet "Football Insider" quote him all the time in regards to what is going on here..

I get that its all click bait on News Now but still, is Mick Brown Football Insider's only source?

Looks like it. Not just transfers either - he's got the inside track on everything else too.

 
I found it hilarious when he reported after Ipswich, I think, that the club were thinking of sacking Sage, with him as the source, then after Forest he wrote that those reports were premature and he was surprised about them and again, he was the source...

Perhaps, I shouldn't criticise too much, maybe he sits in his office, arguing with his reflection in the mirror. Or maybe, I'm to blame as I still click on the stuff...

I recall 'ClubCall' and perusing the football news on 'Teletext'.
In those bygone days, there was still hogwash spouted by supporters.One I overheard in an 'Indian' restaurant telling those in his company that we were on the verge of signing Peter Shilton !
 
I just assumed he had some segment on TalkSport or some other nonsense and then click bait just clips it up and repackages the trash.

Football Insider? Sports Witness? Click bait trash. None of their predictions are anything more than speculation based on team performance. Ignore.

By way of post script, it does great credit to posters on here that almost none of us regurgitate their spurious transfer rumours.

Yep, another reason to be cheerful after last night's win!

Especially given we're selling Wharton to Real Madrid for 25mil + a month's worth of Churros, with Ade Akinbyi and/or Dele Adebola set to return to compete for JSL's place...
