Flags.........& Politics.

You seem to be as out of touch as Starmer. A rather patronising assumption may I say
I don’t think Starmer is out of touch at all. He sees the issues but, unlike others, is judged on reality and not on fantasy.

I am accused of living in a bubble but whilst I think we all do, to some extent, I think mine is much more typical than you might believe. Not everywhere in the UK is like South London.

Admitting to agreeing with Reform’s approach might be something that “Racist Dave” in our local has no issue with but not so others. I have often heard people say they are reluctantly thinking that it’s time to give them a chance. Blaming all the traditional parties for the consequences of events outside their control is naive but predictable. Assuming someone new has a magic wand is a constantly applied remedy and routine failure.

They know, in their heart of hearts, that’s true but don’t know what else to do. You don’t willingly publicly demonstrate a lack of enthusiasm.

Really! Who are these others you mention?
From my experience of Cornwall I have yet to be persuaded that it is a typical bubble. How right you are, not everywhere is like South London. Luckily I don’t live there.
Glad to see you used the word racist when mentioning Reforms approach, just like Labour you can’t help yourself. Exactly why Labour are on course for annihilation as it stands.

Don’t bother. I didn’t read past the first sentence.

It's mind boggling that the Labour party think that having people waving little flags on instruction will elicit anything other than disgust and laughing from the voters ( who they still think are stupid )

That very day Labour controlled Derby council was removing flags put up by residents

I am not naming the others I have heard express these views, there are too many to mention, you wouldn’t know them and I haven’t got their permission.

I mentioned an individual with a nickname, which if you knew him you would understand why it has attached to him. Cornwall is more isolated than some places but not so different from the majority of our green and pleasant land. It’s London which is odd.

The most ethnically diverse city in the country is odd.

It is about resistance. But then you probably know that after already being told, but don’t like the growing dissatisfaction.
Resistance? What an extraordinary concept for anyone living in a democracy to believe is necessary. Although for those who believe in conspiracy theories like the “Great Replacement” it probably makes some kind of convoluted sense.

I suggest you campaign as the “Resistance Party” candidate at the 2029 GE and do everyone a favour by splitting a few votes away from Reform.

Just the type of moral superiority we expect from you.

Forced mass immigration from whichever of 2-3 parties without any consultation with the electorate. What an extraordinary concept in a democracy. You and your Blairite politics will never get it, because of your contempt for us. Fine, your enemy (your own demographic bizarrely) will beat you, you traitor.

Are you proud of our national flag being used in this way? As a symbol of division and hatred.

I’m not. I think it’s shameful.

Yes they should just do what Gary said and listen to him and doff their caps so they can share his success

It's called defiance. It's another virtue of having a flag.

It's why a British officer created the "Palestine" flag in the first place. It was purely to unite tribes in rebellion against the Ottomans in ww1. It's just a general Arab flag, a battle flag. It was unused for decades until the Israeli Arabs picked it up and claimed it was always theirs.

a fake 'makey-uppey' territory for a fake 'makey-uppey' nation ? Just a line drawn on a map. Reminds me of Northern Ireland except that the latter does have some ethnic & cultural justification. Whereas the former ? Its more a region of neighbouring Arab nations than really a proper country itself ?

- linguistically
- religiously
- ethnically
- culturally

what city is the capital of Egypt, Syria, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine ? some questions are easy to answer, others not so much.
