Flags.........& Politics.

Sinn Fein.......their new slogan. 'Brits out, everybody else in'. Trying to achieve a United Ireland through thuggery & bullying. Really clever, yeah. Instead of reaching the hand of friendship across to the Shankill Road they seem to be encouraging Alaister McAlaister to get the Ferry back to Glasgow.
By pissing off the Unionists maybe they're ensuring Ireland is divided. Probably more money in that. And certainly easier to ship drugs, drugs money, forged money, arms, drugs, drugs money etc. And going after dealers gets rid of the rivals handily too. Oops.

Dunnow if it's the right topic....

Interesting to see how this plays out. The police and media very quick to label it "right wing" wonder if it was just some Facebook posts or something more. Eastbourne and Brighton are hardly right wing areas.

Looks like the Linehan Heathrow arrest team

There’s nothing in the actual quoted words of the police which mentions “right wing”, so far I can see. The BBC and Sky describe it so, but the police only call it an “intelligence led terror investigation”.

Most of 'em are easily duped they would probably hurt themselves more than any one else , more likely to self harm. 😆

Which begs the question! Why are sky and bbc reporting it like this then? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Our favourite police force. perhaps they finally found the knives. 😀

Enoch Burke. The schoolteacher who did a ton of jail-time for his refusal to use the They/Them pronoun. He also got financially ruined with fines and penalties. His career in tatters.

I would ignore him too. He represents no one but himself and has no authority to demand or even expect answers to questions. When they come from someone with a track record like his I would have called the police and asked them to stop the harassment. Then if the police had any concerns about their own activities they could have been advised to discontinue.

I'm almost surprised they didn't call the Garda but I guess he also wasn't doing any crime or even being that pushy, by his standards. I've never really agreed with the Burkes but I would respect their right to think and feel about religion the way they do. The persecution is way over the top. But I think they consider themselves to have set an example and made the point now. He's done his time.

What about the flags in Birmingham then, what are your views on those flags?

I don’t know the law over such things in Ireland but they did nothing wrong by ignoring him, that’s for sure, and he might have done through intimidation.

Of course the Burkes can think and feel whatever they like. What they cannot do is break the law. The state taking action if they do isn’t persecution. It’s ensuring that the law is respected and that those who don’t get punished.

I have no opinion. Not because I have no idea what you are referring to but it’s not my responsibility. If they are legal, it’s ok. If they have been erected illegally it isn’t. End of.
Would you prefer to see a Palestine flag or a Union Jack flying in the uk. It’s a simple question with one of two answers, no swerving now !

He want the Palestine one flying alongside the trans one. It's obvious 😀

It's relatively funny because you can walk around with as many convictions you like. Robbing and threatening people. The judge won't be so tough on that. And will be barely concerned about sex crimes. But take a stand on this and you will be imprisoned indefinitely. That's the message the government are conveying. And people can see it. Enoch Burke is usually a meme these days: a figure of mirth.

It isn’t a simple answer because it depends on why, where and when!

On any national occasion obviously the Union flag. At a rally protesting the treatment of innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip by the IDF or settlers in the West Bank, flying their flag in support seems perfectly ok. We have a near neighbour who flies the Ukrainian flag on a flagpole in his front garden, is that ok? Today I saw a local bus painted in blue and yellow with messages of support for Ukraine and saying there is a donation box on board. Is that ok?
