Fiorentina Predictions.

There is no way West Ham, spurs Forest AND Leeds are going to get above 39 points and although we’re poor at the moment we’re not going to lose all our last games and still be on 39 points anyway

And if anyone quotes the word ‘Oldham’ at me I’ll be very annoyed and probably swear a bit 😅😃

I will not quote the team you mentioned and just say West Ham were relegated with 42pts in 2002-3 season after 38 games so not impossible but hopefully for all our sakes you are right!

W.Ham finished in 18th place.
The teams in 17th,16th and 15th place finished on 47,45 and 44 points respectively. I certainly do not envisage those in these positions this season to reach such totals.

Every season is different I know, 26 points would’ve kept you up last season and I take your point about the spammers, but THIS season as it stands at the moment, can anyone seriously see the four teams below us in REAL danger all getting above 39 points and us losing our last eight games?

Anyhoo, back to the thread. Mateta will start as JSL is banned for this match I believe. Will JP last the match? I doubt it, 60-65 mins I reckon, so who will replace him up top? Personally, Sarr for me providing he doesn't get injured of course. Thoughts, better suggestions?

Apparently they have a leaky defence, are suffering from injuries and their minds are focussed on avoiding the drop from Serie A.
So that should mean we win, a 'nailed on' cert 2-0.
But we know better than that.
The main thing from an entertainment point of view is that "La Viola" try to play football against us, unlike any other team in this European journey so far.

I feel like we play better against better opponents, usually because better opponents fancy themselves more and play more open football. We've looked shaky against underdog teams who have wanted to shut up shop and prevent us playing. I feel like we'll look better against Fiorentina. I hope Batistuta has retired though.

I'm with you 100% but after that long poor run we had I'm still looking for another few points to be sure. Overall though this season has been strange and feels underwhelming. Even with £85m spent in Jan, not sure we will finish with all guns blazing.

I know but I think it’s great.
