Fiorentina Predictions.

They are a very competent side well established in the top flight of Italian Football.
No easy games at this level and hopefully a 2-1 home win will be a positive outcome.

They are in a relegation battle in there league.
I wouldn't read to much into that as most of the damage was caused between August and December. Since then, a new manager, new sporting director, formation, tactics and a positive Jan transfer window has certainly contributed to improvements.

Since the new year, Fiorentina have won 8 matches compared to Palace's 5 (and just drawn with Inter who are top) and we're equal based on home v away form at the moment (both 15th out of 20 in leagues) so could be looking at two very closely fought legs!

Yes and about a month ago so were we!

Hardly.

People was making a drama about us we was never in any threat of being in the teams which could go down.

Fiorentina on the other hand really could go down only 2 points clear. (Someone else mentioned about there form is great getting a draw against top team INTER but they ignored other results in the league which have not been great form looks good over all games because some of them are Conf ones)

We should have no problem beating these they are not the same quality team of the past.

Fiorentina have in their squad players who have 'Ploughed their furrow' in the PL :
David De Gea, Tariq Lamptey, Manor Solomon, Jack Harrison, Moise Kean.
I do not expect either team to record a comprehensive victory over both the legs.

A club with massive European experience and some good players. A team and some players I’ve actually heard of which will make a change in this completion.
I’m thinking 2-2, which I think I’ll take as we’re capable of going over there and pinching it

A very tough game against another low-block.

Come on you Palace

Yes this is what I also predict. But Fiorentina will be better at it than the other teams we've faced, with more ability when they counter.

It'll be a close result leaving all to play for in the second leg.

Obviously I'll be very happy if I'm wrong and we blitz them 6-0.

Will be a hard call for both teams yet Fiorentina had 0-1 yesterday they are back in form.

We are rested up but hopefully we played someone behind closed doors.

JP will be needing to step up but not much competitive action in a long while & will not be fully match fit likely 60 min will hit the wall

Sarr will get one as we know the away game will be harder

2-1 at home
1-2 away
ET : 3-2 palace

Why will
Mateta start ? Is Larson injured

I think Fiorentina will shut up shop and counter attack. Expect worse shenanigans and time wasting than we've already seen.
Don't know why anyone expects an open game. We'll TRY to play, I don't see them doing that.
I also wouldn't blame them, if they've been watching how we handle that.

We've been really poor v Wolves and Leeds, and we've had poor spells in games where we don't click in possession - I've been thinking our somewhat disjointed play will get found out by a team that has a go at us, and it could be the Violeta wot does it. Reckon they'll go 1 up and we'll bang on the door and eventually equalise ... 1-1. Can see extra time and maybe pens when we go over there - think we'll scrape through. Pino looks so much better in Europe, we'll have pretty much a full squad to choose from, but it's what we do on JSL's left side that concerns me ... how to play either Guessand or Pino, Pino fed Mitchell beautifully at times in Larnaca, through balls between full back and centre back. Just need some of last year's cup spirit back with Wharton and Kamada bossing the midfield.

This is what I mean. A washed up keeper and the PL's dregs. Don't be complacent against them but forget who they were and play who they are now.
