Fiorentina Away Leg

Anyone going? I doubt I'll have enough points to get in the away end but am hoping to blag into the home end with a Fiorentina membership. Haven't missed a European away game yet this season although this one is looking trickier than most due to the stadium renovations and tough ticket checks. Worst case I'll find a bar in Florence and watch in there.

I'm a Fiorentina season ticket holder but can't go because of work but did try to buy ticket online with my membership details but it wouldn't allow purchase because of being a UK resident which would have been very annoying & unfair if I could go.

They do check passports on entry to the stadium even for Serie A games so no chance of entry in home sections if from UK
Waiting for standard membership opening window tomorrow to buy home tickets as away tickets selling date not even announced yet by Fiorentina.
Any idea how the tickets at Selhurst Park are going?

This is what the stadium map for the game looks like today, I clicked on a couple of the dark blue squares and in some sections only a few seats remained (Obvs not an exhaustive check by any means) but it would indicate that if your fairly sharpish with any purchase u should be fine.
Main stand is A-J / Arthur Wait is R-Z / Whitehorse road end - Family stand is 1-4 - Hope it helps. 1774679790049.webp

Great thanks for that....Yep 10am sharp in the morning for me.

Wow, that must be a cool trip every couple of weeks for you! I bought an inviola premium card but was hoping to use my Cyprus ID details instead of the UK passport. Might as well try to get one when they go on sale to non season ticket holders on Monday though. What area would you recommend trying to buy in for the lowest scrutiny?

Yeah love it.....Italy in general & Florence.
I have done 10 out of 15 home games in Serie A.
I fly to Florence in the winter as it's not so expensive but Pisa from now on in.
Verona away next Saturday before returning for Selhurst park (I hope).

You should be fine with Cypr us passport though, I would imagine The Curva Ferrovia (railway end) & where the Ultras are would be least checked but I sit in The Maratona stand. They always do ID/Ticket checks etc without fail though wherever I have been there & Italian Stadiums in general.

Ok cheers, I have a UK passport but was hoping if they only checked the Cyprus ID I might be able to get in with that. Worst case scenario I'll go back into town and watch in a bar though with the other ticketless palace. I'd imagine a few will travel. Thought about buying a Fiorentina scarf and trying to get in with that.

To access any Fiorentina home game you'll need your passport but also our supporter 'InViola Premium' card which costs around £20. You can get this at the official ticket office near the stadium, but I'm not sure if security/checks will be tighter close to this game if you haven't already had one in a while?

So, given your excellent illustration of the situation regarding the game in Florence, is it the case that I would have no chance - with a UK passport - of buying a ticket among the home fans even if I did have an InViola pass?

I am going anyway and doubt very much that my points tally will get me a ticket in the Palace allocation. Hopefully I can find a bar with both home and away supporters.

Wouldn't imagine there are any issues regarding away fans in a home section (as long as well behaved!) providing you buy a ticket with valid passport + have the InViola card. I advised a few Hearts fans on this a couple of years ago and a number got in fine into the Maratona stand to sit adjacent to the fenced-in cheese section for away fans. However, that was a far lower attendance and before restructuring. The main issue will be that the 2nd leg is likely to be a sell-out and I'm not sure a sudden influx of Palace fans turning up at the ticket office will be issued with InViola cards and be able to buy home tickets.

Okay, thank you very much. I will see how far I get but Florence is a great city anyway so will be glad to be there whatever the ticket situation.

You won't be able to buy a ticket I'm afraid with UK passport....it will ask online & will reject order when booking.
Name & nationality is printed on ticket & checked at stadium entry point so anything other than UK is OK though.

It clearly states on the online Fiorentina ticket site that residents of the away team will be unable to buy tickets and/or will be denied entry at the checkpoint.
I'm a season ticket holder & are unable to purchase even If I could go as I said in a earlier post.

A Inviola card is only needed for the big games....I could buy my partner a ticket without one for Verona at home but not Roma this season.

Yes that's correct but a lovely place to go but obviously flight prices are now silly money.
