Financial State of the Game in England

We are in the dubious position of having gone bust twice both times with Chairmen who basically ran out of money (and whatever nonsense SJ spouts he had run out of money long before creditors pulled the plug.

We now have an ownership structure that economically makes zero sense with a minority shareholder calling the shots and majority shareholders footing the bills.

A more cynical person than me might suggest we are one relegation away from disaster.

Hence the hesitation over the main stand, it seems.

I hope the regulator gets stuck right in to the football 'business' and prevents all this wild speculative spending, debt, and what seems like gambling in some cases. If nothing else, it might help clubs like ours who seem to want to spend within our means, and who are run by a genuine fan who wants to make good long term decisions for the club from having to fly close to the sun just to keep up.
