I need to spell out that you can dislike Lineker's tweets and not agree with people being killed at the same time?
You seem entrenched in this argument - yes I'm certainly saying it now. So many knee jerk reactions to everyone. I presume you're used to the BBS.
You would prefer if people agreed that Jews are rats? Or that people ignore posting something about Jews being rats? I expect quite a few pro Palestine people think Lineker is in bad taste. If they don't, then they're just as much a part of the problem.

No I don't think that at all, nor did I remotely ask a question for you or anyone to answer. Perhaps if you'd stop inventing your own meanings to my post, you'd stop finding my posts so 'entrenched'.

Badger was able to perfectly comprehend what I was getting at with his 'culture of celebrity reply' - people get more worked up about what an ex-footballer thinks about something than the actual thing itself - I find that mental, even more so when the 'thing' in question is an ongoing massacre.

Now bear with me here and I hope it's not too entrenched, but it is possible to think Lineker's sharing of that video was stupid and irresponsible, whilst also recognising that in the context of innocent people dying every day, it's not that important.

In and of itself it isn't that important but this is the culture in which we live, where comedians can be shut down for a joke and old films carry trigger warnings about "outdated values".
In this case it's less what he said than the fact that he's continually ignored the BBC rules on impartiality, regardless of whether he's a contractor or a full time employee he's still the highest paid presenter and as such should represent their publicly funded values.
 
His last girlfriend gave him the big "E" as she wanted children and he didn't he already has Shearer,Murphy to put up with. He did NOT go forth and multiply according to her.

It's possible for people to think anything at all. I'd be pretty sure there are plenty of unsavoury thoughts amongst those opinions too.

Dealt with him and the lady you mention when they returned from Barbados, she was really nice and receptive to my advice re: UK visa. He was an arrogant arse
