Feed The World

I see there's a bit of a stink brewing about the new Band Aid 'Feed The World' 40th anniversary record that's just been released.

I've seen loads of black African people on the news complaining that it puts Africa in a bad light, and it's demeaning to the people of Africa. Even Ed Sheeran is complaining that his voice is on the new single without his permission, and if he could he'd not have it on there for the same reasons.

These same people were also moaning a while ago about white celebrities visiting villages in Africa for Comic Relief. Apparently it gives a view that whites are superior to the black people suffering.

It seems to me that this may be another group of people being offended for the sake of it, but if that's really the thoughts of many in Africa then perhaps it's time to pull the plug and say bollox to you then. The very last thing I want to see is kids going hungry, but the ungratefulness is astounding.

Why can't these people see it for what it is ? It's fund raising to help them.

There's plenty of people over here who would benefit from the money if it's too offensive to them to take it over there.

I've seen several articles about this and the celebs in the UK don't seem to know what they want apart from complaining they don't like it.

Are they saying hey "Whitey just pay up and shut up?"

How do they expect the public to be aware of what is going on and to donate?

I'm all in favour of Africans standing on their own feet and supporting themselves so why are they asking for slave reparations and funds for climate change?

Seriously I don't yet understand the issue. If you are starving no one likes to be seen asking for help but what is the alternative?
