1. Judas Iscariat.
Imagine being a lowly cult member. Spending years carrying the bags, doing the cleaning, collecting visitors from the Port, and driving the donkeys. Only to get condemned to an eternity in Hell ? just for one mistake ala Fredo Corleone.
Its especially unfair when you consider Christ invited the 2 criminals (on the crosses beside Him) to enjoy the Kingdom of Heaven. And them having presumably lived larger than the boss of the County Lines drugs gang.

2. Neville Chamberlain

3. Gerry Adams.......55 years on and still not got your halcyon Socialist United Ireland ? You failed there Wee Jarry. And you did so you did. Oops.

4. The Senior Rozzers tasked with catching the Yorkshire Ripper. They couldn't have bungled the operation more if they had tried. They let Peter Sutcliffe slip through their hands more times than a Charlton Goalie - and threatened to fire the low ranking 'troublemaker-copper' who had correctly identified Sutcliffe from the teeth-marks.

what others ?

Alexander the Great.

Conquered the known World and managed to die before he could enjoy any of the goodies. Nor did he do the proper Royal thing and leave a plausible heir to carry on after he died. So all those dozens of battles and hardships forging freezing rivers ? it was all for naught.

And on the subject of plausible heir.......'Queen Dick' son of Oliver Cromwell. Another failed career.

Randolph Churchill (Winston's father).

He was predicted to have a great career in Parliament, a good speaker all the right connections and had that wow factor. It never really happened for him. Winston was going the same way as his father until WW2 saved him. Otherwise his career would have been what might have been....

John Barnes England career. That goal against Brazil set him up for years of under-performing in the national side.

And then some, how many interviews as he done about racism in football and why there are so few black managers. Err John you were gifted the job at Celtic by a mate and you were crap. Don't mention that do you.
He also got aimed out at Tranmere after winning 3 of 12 games.

A promising teenage football sensation............Johnathon Bostock. Whenever any younger Eagles ask you "Johnathon Who" ? you can reply "never mind, nothing noteworthy about that failed career."
