Favourite all-time Palace 11

Great player, shame he wasn’t with Palace for longer.
I was tempted to pick Kevin Mabbutt, a real blow when he got injured.

Loved Mabbutt, especially as it was at a time when we were signing some rubbish, as you say it was gutting he got injured. When you think of the other strikers we signed in that early mid 80’s period, Langley, Jones, Brown, McCulloch, Mahoney, Aylott, Kevin Mabbutt was the best by a mile

Kiraly

Ward - Popovic - McArthy - Shaw

Olise - McArthur - Derry - Bolaise

Zaha - Johnson

(I know we don't technically have a LB playing, but sod it, lol!)

Only been supporting for 10 years so quite a recent list from me.
Speroni
Munoz - Dann - Tomkins - PVA
Jedinak - Milevojevic
Olise
Bolasie - Mateta - Zaha

Gayle - Ayew - Schlupp - McArthur - Hughes

Probably missing a few

That's fair enough though. No point in picking players on hearsay or everyone would have Peter Simpson up front.

Not easy at all. Had to cheat by naming an alternative for each too.
So, since my first game home to Wolves in 1967:

Nigel Martyn – Dean Henderson

Daniel Munoz – Nathaniel Clyne
Jim Cannon – Ian Evans
Jack Bannister – Scott Dann
Kenny Sansom – Ashley Cole

Gerry Francis – Charlie Cooke
Peter Nicholas – Ben Watson
Vince Hilaire - Yohan Cabaye

Michael Olise – Peter Taylor
Ian Wright – Andy Johnson
Wilf – Don Rogers

Anyone clever enough to write a computer programme to predict the score between these 2 sides?

It doesn’t need a computer programme, the team on the left would win 😁

A 3-4-2-1 formation

George Wood
Joel Ward, Fan Zhiyi, Darren Patterson
Aki, Jerry Murphy, Jonny Williams, Sasa Curcic,
Wilf Zaha, Eze,
Kevin Mabbutt

Subs: Speroni, John Humphrey James McArthur, Simon Rodger, Neil Smillie, Joonas Kolkaa, Lombardo, Yannick Bolasie, Vince Hilaire

For the first time since the 90’s, I’ve felt the need to change mine, no one’s been worthy until now, sorry to Doris Hinshelwood god rest his soul, always been my favourite, but I’m replacing him with Munoz. I know Munoz wouldn’t be quite as effective in a flat back four, but we won’t complicate things 😀

Martyn

Munoz
Gilbert
Thorn
Sansom

Gray
Thomas

Hilaire
Wright
Bright
P. Taylor
