Fan Protest before the Hull Match?

I have no idea if this is real but a Palace fan's substack is saying that there will be fan protest at Selhurst before the Hull City match. Has anyone else heard about this? Is this even real?

Crystal Palace fans plot Selhurst Park protest before Hull City visit on 29th November
Much of the wording of the full text of this "announcement" is remarkably similar - if not identical - to an individual post on this site a couple of days ago.

I don't know what tourists have got to do with the matchday experience. I do know that I would pay a premium price on my season ticket to be rid of the unbearable racket that prevents any conversation before k-o and at halftime. And I find the announcer's roaring before the game of "Be proud....etc." verging on the embarrassing. Finally., the Crystals are a poor imitation of the real (American) thing.

I'm not Grumpy Mort in disguise, just a very old fart.

Ridiculous.

It's only full of tourists because we can't sell out our home games. Why we are increasing capacity of the stadium just to have empty seats I don't know.

The protest is centred around the club's season ticket resale policy.

This is just my understanding and may well be inaccurate. So, if you can't attend a game you are unable to give your ticket to anyone else. Instead you can sell it back to the club and receive a pro rata price for it. The club can then sell it on to a ' tourist ' who will pay the match day price for it. This does NOT apply to season ticket+ holders.

If there's to be a protest then I for one think it should incorporate all the so called ' Americanisation ' that is taking place. I don't know of anyone that I go to the games with or those who sit near me in the LH that thinks that the match day experience is anything like what is was even as recently as last season.

Personally I think it isn't the best way of drawing attention, and in fact it could have a detrimental effect on the team if they come out to a half empty stadium.

Instead I would refuse to buy any merchandise and any food/drinks in the stadium. Monet speaks louder than not taking seats until after kick off.

If it is given to a friend or relative they can become a member and with that number they can have the ticket transferred. Would it be preferable to give it to an away fan.

Water lilies of a ducks back is the best I can think of.

Thanks for explaining it. I totally agree the re-sale ticket policy doesnt work for season ticket holders or potentially buyers. I sent an email to the Fans Advisory Board last season which was forwarded to the Club's Head of Ticketing but received no reply. In essence the club is being too greedy in the sell-on prices. As a casual, low income fan I am not paying £58 for a ticket.

Gone are the days where 'loyal' season ticket holders attend every match, I think many choose to pay for a season ticket as they get several games for free anyway, even if they cant make all the games or sell them back to the club.

What I do not support is any action that makes club officials in fear of their safety, instead fans should email their concerns to FAB to get the discussion going.
