Leaked email shows the US will review it's stance on the Falklands
First link is a bit naff but the crux of it is correct

Peter Thiel is currently in Argentina greasing a way for himself to gain power & influence.

Milei was recently performing for his boss in Israel

The only thing Trump respects is strength, Britain is as militarily & diplomatically weak as it's been in my lifetime.

We'd need to lean heavily on NATO & article 5 if an emboldened & equipped Argentina backed by the US & Chile were to try & invade the Falklands.
Given NATO's focus is on Russia currently, I don't know if they would or could answer the call.

We need to rebuild & rearm all branches of the military yesterday instead the mod is being forced to make more cuts.

The Trump administration can go feck itself when it comes to the Falklands and Greenland too.

I'll never support the trans and alphabet obsessed Democrats but that doesn't mean we have to take it up the arse from Trump.

If it comes to it again, as in '82, can you see todays kids joining up? I can't. There will be mass mental illness, converting to islam, leaving the country, becoming trans/gay(or any other alphabet) & as for the British born Ethnics, pur-lees, they'll become different nationals overnight. I was there in '82 & am too old now at 70, but, i'd go again.

I like Trump(oh, god, really?) says what he wants & generally gets it done, but, imo, he's acting like a petulant child who can't get his own way & threatening Europe(NATO) & the UK in particular. Will our leader stand up to him? No, of course not, tho, will he be the leader if this situation comes to the fore, i very much doubt it.

Anyway, rant over(sorry bout that)

Honestly we do still have enough good young lads in the country who would fight,
I would rejoin if Argentina were to invade.
Its only gross incompetence on the part of capita I didn't rejoin 3 years back.

I could see this all starting to bubble up again after Trump chimped out over the Strait of Hormuz.
If the US starts selling Argentina jets/missiles etc it's on.

What's the most frustrating for me is we finally have a nativist movement that will genuinely get Britain on a level footing as opposed to just more managed decline & the US has to start flopping it's cock around & winding us up.

It's why I am against Conscription.

Why should women be exempt. Why should people going to university be exempt (Vietnam war). Why should only the poor be drafted. No doubt MPS would be the first to get exemptions for their kids.

My dad spent his 2 years National Service living in appalling conditions and being shot at in Egypt. His Cousin was an Military Policemen based in London and went home to his bed every night. A school friend well their father spent 2 years playing cricket for the army in England.

In summary it's unfair with the rich and the establishment ducking and diving whilst the poor do the bleeding and the dying.

I have the utmost respect for our Armed Forces I have been a poppy seller for nearly 20 years. It should remain a volunteer service.

Personally any politician who wants war should be the first to sign up, yes that's you Tony Blair.

Keir Starmer, King Charles, the BBC, Sadiq Khan......etc etc..........and then you wonder why the UK is losing diplomatic-currency with our greatest historical economic/military allies ?

if you lose the Falklands, you are paying a very heavy price for that Trump Balloon. A prank that Sadiq thought was so hilarious. I always said it was a bad idea to parade your private jokes in Public.

Falklands are off limits from Argentina militarily. They've not improved or updated their forces since they got smashed in 82 bar the recent purchase of some F16A models from Denmark. Meanwhile the UK has a permanent military presence there including Typhoons (I believe only 4) but more importantly Sky Sabre and a Type 26 on station. Nothing Argie will get near the place.

When you don't support your allies this is what you get.
Starmer and his nonce lovers are entirely to blame.

It is astonishing that countries in Europe are failing to support a crusade against dangerous Islamists purely because of politics. This would have been unthinkable a few years ago. We have relied on America for our security blanket for decades and now we don't back them because of Donald Trump. Meanwhile, we have allowed our military force to become inadequate and our energy production and manufacturing industries to dwindle. If that wasn't bad enough, we have left our country open to Islamists, rapists and thieves.

This is one of the most embarrassing eras in British history.

Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, Louisiana Purchase, feck the USA is ours maybe we should revisit 1776. 😀
Quite. It has been retrospectively spun as a war of "independence". BS. It was a civil war, they got lucky and we moved on to more profitable pursuits.

And then spanked them as naughty kids in 1812 with both hands tied behind our backs (Waterloo). Something they surprisingly don't celebrate.

Point of order. 1776 was an irritation. Jamaican plantations alone made far more income for the crown than the entire new colony, hence the lack of interest in the place, which was already overly complicated with conflicts between tribes and European colonisers. Plus, Howe, the commander of British forces, made a proper pigs ear of wiping out the Continental Army having beaten them on the field several times before failing to pursue when he should have.

Bunker Hill, that ott yank celebration, was simply a debacle created by complete arrogance of the redcoats.

The battles and losses of 1776 were miniscule compared with those of 1860-5

So the only thing remaining is to convince you that the Democrats are not “trans and alphabet” obsessed and you will come over to the side of sanity and reason?

They aren’t “obsessed”. They just possess more compassion and open minds than the rigid right. There are fringes in every political movement but they don’t represent the mainstream. If you can leave your own fringe you might find there is much more common ground, and comfort, in the centre.

You’re nuts!

This isn’t a crusade. It’s an act of war against a sovereign nation. One far away from anything that NATO has any responsibility for.

Being concerned about the intentions of the Iranian regime does not give any legitimacy to Trump’s action. Which has much more to do with kowtowing to Netanyahu than real concerns about Iran.

There are better ways to achieve stability. They though take time and diplomacy.

The other NATO countries are quite right not to get involved and Trump’s childish petulance, whilst unsurprising, is still shameful. Many Americans are as embarrassed about it as we are disgusted.
