Ridiculous that the FA Cup Final is played before the season ends. What have they done to our beloved competition?

Agree it should be at end. I think the FA hands tied due to the world club championship and champions league final. At least no premier league games on the day of the cup final

It had to be Brian Moore on itv for the match for me, plus I always found you could hear the crowd and the atmosphere more on itv, I don’t know why

I have paid visits to Fulham not only to witness our team but others as well, and whenever I have been there Fulham invariably emerge victorious.
I recall attending an evening game at 'Craven Cottage' against us in the 60s, Bobby Robson was their manager and the only goal was scored by Malcolm MacDonald.

The game you refer to was in September 1968. I was there too.

The only other time I've see Palace at Craven Cottage was Good Friday in 1974 when we won 3-1.

Fulham were allowing season tickets holders 4 tickets each, not sure how that works for the ones that were displaced by giving us the whole Putney end.

I was there too, a great away day and brilliant result. I remember waiting to cheer the team as they got onto the coach after the game. I have a feeling they beat us at home just a few days later. Typical Palace!

I always think there’s a whole younger generation out there who don’t know what an occasion the FA Cup final used to be even if your team wasn’t involved. The country used to be deserted when the game kicked off because everyone was at home watching one of the only games we got to see live on TV. And the build up was also great. Cup final it’s a knockout, cup final question of sport, cup final this, cup final that!! Halcyon days 😁

There isn't the room for the Cup as was to also accommodate the Premier League and all the hooh haha surrounding the champions league

It wasn't all good though. Players butchering music and being played on the radio.
