Attwell was demoted from refereeing in the PL and refereed in the EFL.
He returned to referee in the PL some 4 years later.

I'm resigned to Palace playing well but losing to a dubious decision or an incredible piece of luck for Citeh.

Perhaps Atwell will pose for pictures with his arm around Pep in the tunnel.

I think Citeh will find Palace a different propostion from the team they thumped 5-2.

For once it could be a great final. If there's any justice it'll go our way this time.

I think that’s the main point isn’t it? We can all cope with a genuine mistake, but there’s certain refs who want to be noticed and the star of the show, the arrogance of the likes of Anthony Taylor, Pawson, hooper, madley, Darren England , Mike Dean, Kevin friend and good old battenburg is what rubs or rubbed everyone up the wrong way. Rob Jones is heading that way as well
