The all knowing Sky Sports News has us down as favourites for the drop according to the studio guests last night on the Transfer show along with the 3 new teams. Honestly I have started watching games on any Channel I can find rather than listen to the dross this s*** channel puts out. Being that most of the year we will be the 2pm on a Sunday kick off we can look forward to Glenn Murray as co comms or the Dreadful Alan 'I worship Arsenal' Smith... and if we are lucky Merson talking bollocks before and after the match.

Obviously and goes without saying that scoring goals is going to be a problem for us this season. We can't over rely and expect Sarr to hit 20+ again.
Bed that with the defensive frailties we appear to have inherited- it doesn't exactly blend well(not scoring and conceding easily) so I can understand where 'pundits' are coming from.
Marry that with our obsession with hovering around the 12th position.

I however, personally think we will have a decent season. And that's without my tinted glasses. First 6 games to the season is always silly season and I predict Everton to be top of the table after the 6th match. So that alone examples 'silly season'

We have a lot of options wide, and a strong CM. It's whether players other than Sarr step up and help chip in with goals.

Not necessarily sky pundits but have a look at last year's predictions from some of the pundits: Champions? Top scorer? Pundits predict the 2025/26 season

Verdict: Three teams to be relegated
Shearer: Burnley, Sunderland, Leeds
Owen: Leeds, Sunderland, Burnley
Bent: Leeds, Burnley, Wolves
Sherwood: Leeds, Burnley, Sunderland
Given: Brentford, Burnley, Sunderland
Holland: Brentford, Burnley, Sunderland
Osman: Wolves, Leeds, Burnley
Murray: Sunderland, Burnley, Leeds
Green: Brentford, Burnley, Sunderland

We always appear to be flying close to the wind ,and yet we are still in the race.
It’s easy to see why the pundits don’t fancy our chances, our preseason hasn’t helped. Yes we could go backwards,it happens ,but we have a squad handled well that can keep us away from relegation.

Ignore the self righteous all knowing hopeless c**** mate and enjoy the ride this season whatever the outcome may be.

I was in communication with a member of the Media last night when I was enjoying a tipple.
His message was 'Buckle up, you are in for a bumpy ride'.
I was in company with my family so never had the time to enter into a debate on this matter.

The truth is, we have no idea how we will do under Sage, and neither do the pundits. Squad-wise, we're arguably stronger than we were at the end of the season, albeit we probably still need a suitable replacement for Lacroix. I was talking to a Frenchman in football boots last night, and he said to "expect good times" under our new chief, so make of that what you will (i.e. nothing).

I'm not expecting a strong start as the WC players came back so late, but I'm reasonably positive. Sage carries an air of quiet confidence that I like.

I'm gonna be more fcked off with CPFC fixtures moved with days to go. 🙁

Good. We were fine last season until they all started on about our “unbeaten run”.

We have a better, deeper squad AND there is no AFCON this year which was what really nobbled us last year.
